imagine what some other fisherman must be thinking as they sail by and see your boat taking a poo

4 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 0

Probably thinking "Dammit, no one picks up after their boats anymore. Is it so hard to bring a little garabge bag with you??"

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

As a long time commercial fisherman I’ve seen boats take far worse dumps than that.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Modern boats like this are equipped with a Puss Hole to let the octopus out

Octopi going out minus food like ‘This restaurant sucks. Going to give poor rating on Kelp.’

He coughed up two little shrimp to slim up. They're alive and look so confused.

If a bunch live togethet they are an octopolis

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You might already know this, but an octopus's beak is the only solid part of its body. If that part fits through a hole, the rest will too.

4 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

AND an octopus is very good in estimating it will fit or not! If not he will not even try.

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I'm fuckin terrified of octopi

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sounds like someone's trying to deflect from that folder of hentai on their hard disk

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My wife days it's a shame that they're so tasty

4 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 15

I too salute our new cephlapod overlords... with drawn butter and garlic

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 10

Not a fan of the texture. I'd rather squid or cuttlefish.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Same. Although cuttlefish are very cool animals as well. They make good sushi though.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

I eat it once every 5 years

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm a committed carnivore and I cannot eat octopuses. They have smart eyes.

4 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

They are in fact sentient.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't look a cow in the eye. They understand shit man.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't call myself committed, although I have no qualms eating meat, but no I wouldn't be able to either.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is this a surprise to people? That animals feel pain.... How arrogant are we that we think we're the only species capable of feeling pain?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's a very common belief that crustaceans and mollosks don't feel pain. I heard it a lot growing up.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not for me. I just thought it was great the UK was looking to potentially make them protected.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same. I can't eat cephalopods, canines, or underwater mammals.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What underwater mammals would even be on a menu? You're speaking of whale, I'm assuming.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Whale, dolphin, and seal are the ones that come to mind for me.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know whale get eaten, in Japan. Never heard of dolphin or seal being eaten except by Inuit people.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

please do not eat octopus.

4 years ago | Likes 117 Dislikes 10

Tell them to be less yummy then.

4 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 8

May I ask why? I personally do not enjoy it but I am curious as to why the reason

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

They're sentient.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

because in almost all situations, octopus only reproduce at the end of their lifecycle. They're very easy to overfish.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Because certain species are highly intelligent. We're talking dolphin, chimpanzee maybe even human level of intelligence.

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

Do you eat pork?

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Good point. But intelligence level can't be a factor in the food chain. Octopus are a pest in some places and their number must be kept low

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 6

"But intelligence level can't be a factor in the food chain" Sure it can.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

So are humans

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Or at least regulated in a way that it won't harm the rest of the native wild life. In my country there's a special license for octupus 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Fishing because they tend to overpopulate the sea. When we had lockdown, their numbers excalated too fast for wildlife safety
