Place the carton of ice cream in plastic bag/ zip lock when in freezer. Ends up softer, not rock hard.

Use to work in an icecream palour, faulty freezers are a nightmare. Nothing like smacking your hand on the metal because its too hard.

We never had the issue with machines/dispensers, ours was proper scoopable dairy icecream. We put the shit flavours in the faulty freezer.
