5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thank youuuu! Overcoming compulsions is so hard.

Bottom picture gives off an aroma of home and peace. Great work.

You can't possibly understand how happy this gif makes me

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

First pic looks like a crime scene !!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damnbitchyoulivelikethis.psd

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jesus christ... I don't know how anyone can let a personal space get like that. Thanks for getting rid of my anxiety on that second picture

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That looks like my mind before and after adderal. Also my room before and after adderal.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Which ones the “before”?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This is the kick in the ass I needed. Thank you.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like your rug, it really ties the room together.

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Thanks! It was my granddads

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Minus points for that sloppy stack of papers on the side of that desk ?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sorry, I still need my school papers until exams are done.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I hope they go well for you! I just finished mine for the last time.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My front room went the opposite direction over the weekend. Thanks for the inspiration to clean up.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I just went through the same thing this weekend....depression anxiety and being too busy left me uncaring snd unmotivated...

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It took a few weeks of this virus lockdown for me to finally build up the desire to take care of it and now my house isnt cluttered anymore

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Kudos for having the strength to do what needs to be done let's both try to keep it up yes?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

glad im not the only one with a mail pile

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

idk how to get rid of it. everytime i do it reappears the next day.. it feels hopeless

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I think I'm going to use mine as a fire starter

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No one need a huge fire :D

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

excellent ive been tired of where im living for awhile now

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Was the puzzle under all of that?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes. My fiance is happy I unearthed it

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Nobody with OCD would be living in that first picture.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Probably just confusing hoarding with OCD, not everyone understands the terminology.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

I have diagnosed OCD and have been in treatment for 6 years including being hospitalized. I know the terms, you don't

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Genuine question: isn't hoarding/ not tidying up a sign of depression? So you have OCD & depression? Sorry I didn't think of that.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's not what OCD is. It's a wide variety of symptoms, including holding, not just obsessive cleaning like the movies portray.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Good on you!! Question: was the jigzaw under there the whole time?

5 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 0

Yes it was

5 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

There's no way you have all the pieces still. I demand an update!

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Looks like the box was there, but the assemblage hadn't started yet.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can see some of the pieces between all the other things. Specifically the row of pieces sticking out on an angle. Gotta be missing pieces.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dot

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice rug. It really ties the room together.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Thank you! It was my grandads!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No curtains? ? How? That's just a black hole in the evening. How do people like that?

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Also, I adore your rug. I want one too.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We bought the place and are getting blinds, but we need to save up after the down payment killed our savings

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You don't have neighbors looking in? When I got this house I first had matrass covers as curtains, then ugly glass curtains and one day 1/

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was browsing the local Craigslist, someone offered free wooden blinds. Window covers make all the difference!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope, we are hidden by trees

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think the OCD bit is the cleanup, not the mess

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 4

Nope, it's the mess. OCD is more than just obsessive cleaning

5 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 3

Yes thank you! I have OCD and people always misunderstand it as being a "neat freak" which I'm not.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not sure why I got down voted. OCD is a complex disorder. I have compulsive messiness/hording and no stereotypical cleaning OCD.

5 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

So you won’t have OCD then. You have a compulsion to hoard and live in messes. Still an issue, and should be acknowledged. Just not the same

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

I have diagnosed moderate to severe OCD and have seen specialists for it for like 6 years and have been institutionalized twice.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Uh oh that's concerning for me because the current state of my living room is veeery similar to the first pic...

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

There are other reasons for being messy than OCD, but if you're concerned it's a good idea to talk to your Primary Care doctor.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

It's a very frustrating disease to have because media incorrectly portrays it. Mine has nothing to do with cleaning

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Yeah mine involves hoarding and skin picking mostly, but not too many compulsions, just a lot of obessesions

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Mine's obsessive thoughts of things I've done/said till an anxiety attack - it can be minor to where the fuck is the ativan

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If someone's does it's things like getting out of bed at midnight to clean the toilet with a toothbrush otherwise it's the end of the world

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The calendar says you're a liar

5 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 13

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

That calendar hasn't been touched in forever. Not every one lives by one.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Never assume.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's not an assumption when there's photo evidence. But op corrected that

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Big words from somebody who thinks a person who struggles to keep a space orderly must absolutely succeed at keeping a calendar up to date.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just laugh and move along

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Does that say august sept?

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

That's what I'm seeing

Okay...so why does the carpet have longer piles in the second picture....?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Longer whats? It's the same carpet.... I keep looking at the pictures and I don't get what you mean

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

But if you need confirmation the pictures were taken in the same night zoom in next to the lamp on the window ledge. I'm growing lettuce.

I had a huge wall calendar decal thingy that was such a pain to reset, it stayed on November until December of the following year

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get it. My school calendar is still on January. Yet I have sticky notes around with all my due dates. Doesn’t make any sense but it works

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Feel this in my soul. Bought calendar and planner in March....of 2019...used a few times and forgotten forever. And it’s not the first time

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't ruin my fun

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

yeah, that whole room, including calendar saying septemper in may, just shouts out OCD.... i still think you are lying ;)

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

OCD is a complex disorder characterized by a wide variety of thoughts and behaviors and is not just obsessive cleaning like in movies

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

you dont have to explain anything, man, let the haters hate, they see you cleaning, they hating

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I don't mind them hating on me, but it bothers me when people are so misinformed about a disorder that effects 1% of the population

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I totally get this. I would probably do the same thing! I had a clock that died and it was stuck for months...just never got important...

5 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

It was still right twice a day

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Enough for me to change the batteries. Anyway, yu did a great job. Now erase that calendar bull and draw some things on it!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Clock in my bathroom still hasn't been set forward for DST. I just remember that the clock is an hour behind and I know what time it is.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Our clock died, set it to 4:20 and put it back on the wall.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every time I think about chucking the calendar now I just feel guilty. I feel like I should be a calendar person

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

I like calendars with something funny/interesting/motivating. Either rip off or monthly ones. You can get excited about seeing the new page.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My calendar still says Nov.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel this. I had a calendar on my wall on February one year for two full years

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

This makes me feel better! My fiance is one of those personal planner people, whereas I'm a "it's Tuesday, right?" person.
