If this dog doesnt show up to give me CPR, then just let me die.

"this MF is the only one that knows what food I like to eat, live!" - dog probably

while that's awesome and adorable, it looks super ineffective

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anyone else notice when he put his head down by the neck to check the pulse? Such a good doggie

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No, he's checking breathing, not pulse.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really don't think he's compressing the chest the one and a half inches that are required to pump blood through the body.

Sweet wagging tail...♡

Doesn't CPR usually break ribs? Do dogs have the power to pull off effective CPR?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Grownups can do it well enough to keep you conscious

Literally... If you don't need cpr, you risk dying from the laughing.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Had to research this. 99% sure that this is just an entertainment routine. Can’t find evidence of any dogs actually trained in CPR.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The dog is just resting his jaw on the man's neck. Definitely not actual CPR.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They aren't actually trained in CPR, but this is how some rescue dogs will respond to a heart attack victim. Obviously, this is a pup, 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

2/2 A fully grown 60# dog can keep a victim conscious enough to call for help. And, yes, they jump on the chest, and lay on the neck.

QUICK! SOMEONE GET ME A HOTDOG TO CHOKE ON!!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For those asking, yes, dogs are trained to help heart attack victims. No, they can't do chest compressions, but they are trained to 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

2/2 To keep you conscious so you can call for help, or help arrives b/s they pushed a help button. This is a puppy. A 60# dog is effective

That's good doggo deserves all the repects

Squints - the real OG

This magic moment

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I mean, he’s cute and all, and I appreciate the effort, but that’s definitely not 100 bpm, so...

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Thank you!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It'll work because nobody has heart to disappoint the dog.

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

And not nearly enough force. I think dog CPR is more for looking cute

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I think the force starts to come in when the dog gets bigger

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think it’s probably a skit type thing?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, it's not. There are dogs that are trained to keep people mentally functioning enough during an event so they can call for help.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just that that’s really ineffective in terms of resuscitation

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love his little emergency light.
