420 praise it

Breeze over that annoying Aldrich with vow of silence

It be like that sometimes

Always appreciate when other games pay homage to dark souls (source: dishonored death of the outsider)

Look at them long ass bars, at that kind of level what even is a build, just a change in gear cause stats be at 99, not impressed.

Not here. Practicing to git gud.

Dark Souls and Demons Souls are some of my favorite games. BB, DS2 & 3 are all amazing as well. But the first 2 will always be special.

King's Field anyone?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In warlords of draenor WoW had Solaire as a follower and if you did a tired emote he'd give you a bonfire toy.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I refuse to believe this is dark souls because the screen isnt 64x64, b/w, and the controllers arent made from bananas.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I favorited as soon as I saw 420 Praise it. Just because I'm tired of hearing 420 Blaze it. It's old. But i have asthma, so maybe I'm biased

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Imo Ds2 is the best souls game. Most variety in areas.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

After months of dying, or going anywhere else, I finally beat the Ruins Sentinels last night. So satisfying

I wish my friends would play darksouls still. But after 800 hours you do get a bit worn out without new content

I did not know you can silence Aldrich

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Silence him each time he emerges rock a strong lightning build you cut down one of the trickiest bosses in seconds

You are dead? Dost thou even die, brother?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Borderlands DLC "Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep." paid humourous homage to Dark Souls with the Campfires.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

There's also a bonfire in the Caustic Caverns with a ghost named "Solitaire" sitting by it.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Praising in process.

Soul calibur was good , right ? Souledge ?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I like the Souls games, but I have a poor sense of direction and I am generally shit at them.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Currently replaying DS1 on PS4, & the Capra Demon is kicking my ass repeatedly. Don't have PS+ so can't even resort to summons.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"go right then up the stairs, kill dogs then Capra" good in theory, but can't even dispatch dogs before being insta-killed by jump attack.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gave it another shot after some grinding to upgrade my weapon & armour. Beat him (after few attempts), and now arrived at Sen's Fortress.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, I suppose really I beat the dogs, could breath & then killed Capra. Had Master Key so wasn't in Blighttown long (firelink shortcut).

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm actually replaying 2 right now. I miss invasions. Barely any folks play it anymore.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Blame Soul Memory. It botches the connection between players royally which means no one (or hardly anyone) can invade one another.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I still get invaded all the time in Scholar.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've been able to invade a few times, but as RER said, soul memory messes up so much. I had hoped someone had made a mod to remove it, nope.

Just started playing the first dark souls last week. And holy hell I am getting my ass kicked. But both bells have rung and I praise the sun

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Still need to kill Darkeater..I've only died 150 times on him so far. I really should have done him before ng+.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Learn his move set, watch out for the tail. Don’t fuck with the fire, use a bow when at range (or just use Pestilent Mist to cheese him).

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never beat him. Gonna replay tonight

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One of the harder bosses in the series. Just has SO much health.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not just health though, has heaps of damage reduction too. ng+3 took me about 10 minutes of flat out hitting the damn thing to get to phase2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

One of the weirdest hacks I ever encounter while playing https://imgur.com/Jvjr5UX

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Please explain.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My guess is that the host somehow hacked his game so that he could move all NPCs to any place, and he used an item that made NPCs attack me.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks easy

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Dark souls is easy as fuck

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Now, we wait.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Usually the explosion happens faster than this, where are all the imgur rage babies?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They threw their controllers through the monitor. They can't see us.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dark Souls 2 is underrated. Change. My. Mind.

I don't really think it's the best. In my opinion they are all great, and ds 2 is just the most different of the bunch.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can’t dodge worth a fuck

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 5

you can practice that, also one of the stats increases the amount of i-frames

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The only thing that DS2 had going for it was much more diverse outfits, and therefore fashion souls as well as having the best hub imo.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

What I will always respect about ds2 is that it isn't ds3. Not bogged down with references to the first game and isn't afraid to TRY.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

The game has a lot of shortcomings but when Miyazaki came back for ds3 I knew we were just going to get a ds1 repackage.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It also took away the spaghetti netcode for invasions from DS1 and made PvP actually playable. Then they messed it up again in DS3. :|

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Going slow heavy weapons is pointless because FUCKING NOTHING staggers from them then you get stabbed in the dick while resetting.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

then use the faster, lighter ones. Certain weapons being worse (imo they aren't but hey, opinions) doesn't make the game bad.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, it just makes half the weapons unviable, whereas every other Miyazaki game heavy weapons are viable because badguys stagger. Only DKSII.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well, you just have to use them differently, more carefully. The higher reach and dmg still makes most heavier weapons viable.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe, but it's also the most different of the three, with several design choices that make it generally less great than the other Souls'.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not less great, just different. Maybe it's a worse Souls game, but I think it is still an excellent game.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just played through Scholar of the First Sin (took about 2 months) because I suck. Third was waaaaay better imo

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I don't like Scholar. You get blobbed by weird enemies at random points and get waay too many souls early on. But that's just my opinion.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I agree. Dark Souls 2 is the worst in the series. But it's a bit like the worst Shakespeare plays: it would be someone else's masterpiece.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Exactly! It's still a good game and thr others have their own shortcomings too.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

DS2 is the only one I finished. Never got to play the first one due to parents/age. I beat Aldrich in 3 but lost interest. Love it though.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

DS1 got remastered last May.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know, and I might play it. Just need to get to it.

His helm clearly has two individual eye slots, just sayin'. There's the popular way, and there's the correct way.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, I just realized that it looks far different on mobile vs on desktop. So, I guess there's a correct way for each???

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love all three, despite the constant invasions. I could never get into Bloodborne though

7 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 3

Are you summoning people? The more people you have in your world, the more likely you are to be invaded. Solo, I only get a few per run.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Never got into souls but loved bloodborne, hopefully we will love Sekiro

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I initially disliked BB because of one reason, "does not open from this side". The map progression is still a mess

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love both. I want a Bloodborne II so badly

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Funny, I much prefer Bloodborne over DS.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I loved it initially, but after playing all the souls on pc, that framerate for bloodborne just made me sick

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Man, bloodborne was my favorite. First game I ever platinumed. The atmosphere, the combat, the lore, the bosses, all perfect in my opinion.

7 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Agreed. Lore is so amazing. It felt like stepping into a world of mysteries, haplessly trying to piece together what happened.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The style and aggressive gameplay of Bloodborne was my entire wheelhouse, and I never knew it until I played it.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I feel like people tend to be fans of either DS or Bloodborne, not both. They can appreciate the other, just can’t love it as much

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

I’m a both guy. BB is faster and rewards aggressive play, DS is more tanky

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Both are extremely finely-tuned to their particular themes. I personally tend to like Bloodborne more, even if it doesn't let me praise.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

BB feels much faster because of the dash. Not having to roll makes movement much more fluid and faster for attacking.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But also with the health recovery for attacks after you get hit, it's much more encouraging to get in there and dodge like a ninja.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and now Seikiro is coming out... This could be the Tenchu reboot I've always wanted!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe I’m odd but I loved them both. Like a lot

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Yeah same. Most of the people I know who love one also love the other so... I dunno.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like Dark/Demon's Souls but not enough to have beaten any of them (played them all). I did beat Bloodborne and I am clamoring for a sequel

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think it's because the combat is so different. Bloodborne is so much faster while ds is slower and wait/shield based. And the tone is diff

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always thought the invasions were a nice threat to the player, I don’t like how one sided they can be at times what with real players

7 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

I mean in the 3rd game they went completely the other direction. From Soft gleefully allowed you to just camp and gangbang invaders.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

oh yeah they are a cool feature, but certainly in 3 the cooldown between being able to be invaded felt way too short, you'd deal with a guy>

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I never actually had that problem. I have like 4 or 5 invasions maximum per run. Don't summon anyone and you should be good.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

get back to what you were doing and suddenly you were invaded again. after a point it just becomes a barrier to progression.

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

That's not really possible with the invasion system in 3. You were doing something that caused you to be invaded more.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

you missed the part about having to be human/embered to have your reality melt with others. you could be hollow :)

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Yeah, but if you're playing with friends, there's also the same requirement. So you're SOL.
