Works with 1ct, 2ct, 5ct, 10ct, 20ct and 50ct reliably. 1€ is a bit mor difficult.

I'm sure the grass is always greener, and they're talking about American pennies being virtually indestructible.

You can also cut it in half with a good pair of scissors

That's priceless

A 1-yen coin is made out of 100% aluminum. So, yea.

Is that Flint water

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Is that michigan water?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did that with my bitcoins... they're so inflated they float now.

8 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 4

Check it again ;)

So. A bitcoin won’t even break the tension in a thread full of imgurians.

And now your drink is full of hepatitis.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Money is disgusting. I wouldn't put it in my drink

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wikipedia says 100% aluminum.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

https://youtu.be/kJlRnCed0bY it’s real.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Water from Flint, MI?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's honey god damn it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aluminum 1g Japanese 1yen

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Light and heavy have nothing to do with it. It's a matter of density.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Looking for this

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Must be hard to make a wish.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Really underrated comment :D

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well. It is water. The inside of the mug is yellow.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i wouldnt even bother to keep it on me just throw it away its almost worthless anyway

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is this real? Can someone in Japan test it?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yep, used to do this with .50 CZK before they were discontinued.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yea did this, flicked one into a "wishing fountain" and it just landed on the water surface and floated. . Wish - DENIED! :(

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's real. It works because the air gets trapped in between the aluminium coin and the water, creating an air bubble. You have to put it 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Trapped air has nothing to do with it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

down very gently, though, since otherwise the surface tension would break and no air bubble would be able to form.

What about thos beans?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Bushs beans?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thos. Bens.

They need to wait until 100 yen equals 1 penny then they can have normally priced stuff again

8 years ago | Likes 97 Dislikes 4

If one yen was equal to 1 penny then $1 = 100¢ = 100円. They just don't change into a new currency type at 100 like we do.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

While there I just approximated prices to dollars by cutting 2 zeros

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

1 JPY currently equals a dime currently

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 61

You're off by a decimal place. $0.0088

shush, I have a huge sack of yennies, I was about to make out.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

In my experience the people who brag about having a huge sack usually don’t.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's hardly my fault you have horrible taste in men.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That doesn't look like water but yeah the yennies feel like toy money.

8 years ago | Likes 343 Dislikes 4

https://youtu.be/kJlRnCed0bY it’s water.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I think it's just the colour of the inside of the mug that makes it look weird

8 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 2

Look like overbrewed tea in a dark mug I think

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or coffee with creamer

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No one calls them yennies...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

I do

Was stationed in Okinawa for six years. It’s American military slang for them that has permeated into regular speech of local nationals.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm so my years in Tokyo. The only time I hear that is by people online who have only visited for a few days. Didn't know it was catching on

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was there back in 2008. Not old, but certainly not the newest phrase.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's not money that's glorified plastic

8 years ago | Likes 161 Dislikes 10

Wait till you see the glorified paper that’s worth 10,000 of these glorified plastics

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Do... Do you think the metal is the value?

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

You just described money.
