That piggy bank seems pretty chill about being locked in in the dark with those two,

LOL my wife and her sisters argued which would grow up to be the "Crazy Aunt Mary."

"No, YOU'RE AUNT MARY!"

At first I was like "they can't be that bad" but now I get it.

Better punchline is going back to the other parent saying "yeah, our kids are dead."

The Other End is inspirational

The weird cousins in my family (besides my ass) were my Mom's older brothers' kids.
They were seemingly too close, always hanging out, went to college, and even lived together until they found SOs.

Granted, this could have been due to their weird family dynamic. My Aunt and Uncle's Spouses (Mom's older sister and brother) divorced my blood relatives, and married each other. Turning my 3 cousins into step siblings. (2 to uncle, 1 to aunt)
Then they had more kids, while my cousins were all but left to fend for themselves while with those new couple. So it could have been a way to cope and survive.

I could follow the plot easily this time, but I still got the usual amount of questions.

Maybe, but where would we get twenty pounds of bologna at this hour?

For a while there I thought webcomics had all descended into tedious "lol life is bad" nonsense but this one has restored my faith

This artist puts out good work with each strip. We never know where it's going to go.

The internet has ruined you.

With a name like Juck, I don't think it gets much worse.

At first I thought Jick and Jiane was just sloppy handwriting

The characters in these comics always have weird names. My favorite is "Klelvlin"

Reminds me of an old college friend from ASU, the Harvard of the Southwest.

Locking the door but keeping an unsecured window seems like they want the kids to be someone elses problem.

I mean, they need to express all of that somewhere. Pretty sure most parents are fine with "not here, anywhere else" being the answer.

Well, there is that box with blood seeping out of it on the floor....

Isn't that how far too many parents view raising their kids though?

It looks to me like that window is a solid pane of glass. Definitely not to code for egress in an emergency, maybe it's bulletproof

Otoh the door clearly only has two functional deadbolts, wonder what the other two are for

As a teacher, I’d like to give this an emphatic “YES”.

"they never behave like this at home so it must be something you're doing" - Those same parents.
