Who needs a fancy treadmill

Everyone loves a clean pussy.

I have three cats. After closing the washing machine l always look them up before turning it on. I'm afraid one will sneak in unnoticed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

This isn't a smart owner...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Such a shit idea to encourage a pet to play in a machine like this. Asking for trouble.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I have learned the lesson today to always check the dryer before doing laundry

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Theoretically you could generate electricity this way.

Mine to hate dryers and cats together

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a front load washing machine, not a dryer.

Friend’s cat died this way. Blood and fur everywhere :(

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Great now throw some clothes in and close the door and you sure have an eco friendly dryer!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They must have disconnected the drive belt or removed the stator. this drum should not move that easy.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Strong cat.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Some appliances have "pet" and more shockingly "child" detectors installed that once closed will not run if a certain movement is detected.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can't imagine those claws are good for the drum. Get the dang fancy treadmill already.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Probably bad for the motor too.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can't see cat claws doing too much harm to stainless steel.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

For all those sharing horror stories: How do you not notice a cat in a washer/dryer like this?

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

My white cat once decided to take a nap in white sheets inside our dryer. It survived, but definately got a good tumble...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People who don't think before they do. Also you are supposed to leave your washer door open to dry. *shudders at the smell*.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's only necessary for front loaders. Top loaders are vented at all times and thus leaving them to open dry is redundant.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is no place for a cat.

8 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 3

yup- accidents happen

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Amen! My mom's cat used to do this, and one day they didnt see her in there and turned it on. RIP Sparky :(

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Im guessing he was......pretty lit...for real tho sorry for your loss

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow so many people sharing their stories about how they lost their cats like this. You shouldn't be responsible for a life.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 7

Not even their own, if they don't even look after the cat.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have never harmed a pet, but I am not so egotistical to think an accident couldn't happen in my home, so I try not to judge too harshly.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My friend's cats loved to sleep in the warm dryer. Now and then, someone would load the dryer and turn it on, hearing a horrific "thump".

8 years ago | Likes 136 Dislikes 3

Schrödinger's dryer?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Difference between horrific and hilarious is the outcome and in this instance it's pretty damn funny

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 4

Also time. Comedy = tragedy + time. I've been told Mel Brooks said it, dunno if true.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Aids is funny now!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

a dryer I can see being pretty funny if they were let out like right away. but in the gif, that is a washing machine

8 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 3

Though a dryer would still likely cook the poor thing. Nasty way to go, either way.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I ran a cat through a dryer once. I have so much regret and guilt over it because, no matter what I do, I just can't get the smell out.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Was the cat's name Einstein?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that's why I put if they were let out right away. I've a few times turned the dryer on when my cat was in there, but I had kept the door

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

open by tricking the sensor and stopped it so the car only just tumbled a bit, and now he doesn't try and get in the dryer anymore

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I lost a cat this way too. NEVER let your cat learn to think that it’s ok to play in the dryer. Accidents happen!

8 years ago | Likes 111 Dislikes 5

Microwave far better.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Damn sorry for your loss.. that sucks

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What a horrific way to die

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

My grandmom did this once. She thought the thumping was my dad's sneakers. Cat was stiff as a board when they pulled him out.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But ok???

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That exactly what I thought was in there...sneakers.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've always wondered and maybe you can tell me, how do blind people type on a touchscreen?

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 7

Funny ha, but believe me with rushing around and not paying attention..it happened

If there are already clothes in there and a cat crawls in the back and falls asleep?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Put hand in, move clothes around to check?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Not a dryer.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

Washer/dryer, same mechanism that tumbles behind a locked door.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Also dryers don't have locks. This does though cause it's a washer.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It doesn't have a lock though?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would've said it's a washer because the grey rubber gasket around the door, the sockeater.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

one cooks the cat the other drowns it.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

If the atleast 3000 spins per minute does not kill it first

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

.. so both = death. That's why it doesnt matter which- as both are bad

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You trying to be funny

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My cat actually died that way. Someone left it open, then came back and turned it back on. Tragic.

8 years ago | Likes 520 Dislikes 19

..Y-Yeah, so *snort*, oh god, so tragi-*puts hand over mouth*.... So tragic...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 10

I had childhood friend who's cat also died that way.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why would someone turn on your cat, that's gross!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That's really awful :'(

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

A friend of mine had a hen lay eggs in her dryer in summer, then began using it again in autumn but didn't check for rotten eggs.

I turned it on w/out realizing my big girl had climbed in. Luckily she was girthy and it started thumping so I opened it. She was dizzy

Mom's friend accidentally locked her ferret in the dishwasher. Was a traumatic unloading. Luckily her children weren't the ones to find it.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well shy

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Shit* shit....

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank God I have only killed on phone that way, back in a day when they were small and I forgot it in a pocket on jeans.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

One of the few technologies thats gotten smaller over time, and then bigger.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too, believe it or not. Nice warm spot for a nap, and all the sudden someone is asking who put shoes in the dryer, and where's Toby??

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Had a little kitten who did that \:

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I saved mine just in time. Little guy was traumatized for a week.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

House shower did that to my cat, but she survived. Was just incredibly dehydrated

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh my god...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No check prior to, inside?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I am so sorry that accident happened to your friend.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My mom was devestated as she came to tell me what happened. I only share that experience so it doesn't happen to someone else.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

At least it was a clean death.

and this is a front load washing machine. once it starts, you can't just open the door. it locks until the end of the cycle

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 7

Unplug that shit!!!!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And then we pull the plug and get a hammer. :)

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Weird, mine has a way to stop it, there's a button you press and it stops. I haven't tried it halfway through the load though

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You can cancel the cycle in most wmachines, but the door still will have one a little delay until it unlocks.

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

I have a front load washer & yes you can stop it, make it drain & open. Chances are you’d know the cat was in their as soon as you started-

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

shoving clothes in. Front load washers must stay open when not in use to prevent mold/mildew so no way are manufacturers going to leave -

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

themselves vulnerable to a lawsuit should a child or pet get injured/killed because you can’t stop the machine.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

That's always been one of my biggest fears. I never leave the doors open because kitties would definitely want to investigate

8 years ago | Likes 177 Dislikes 1

Do people not know how to look in their appliances? My cat doesn't sleep in the dryer, and I still check for him just in case.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Accidents happen. Even to the most careful folks.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well that, and putting in a second tampon when drunk

8 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 1

Had a friend that died exactly that way. Haven't used one since.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a guy I've found the first tampon left behind weeks after their period was over. Was more tramatic than Iraq.

8 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

As a guy my roommate left one in the shower and I cried.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

cried because of a tampon? what? are you american?

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 6

Your roommate is gross

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Let me rephrase, the first tampon was still inside her

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In the fucking shower?! I'm pretty damn comfortable with my period and its goings on, but I'd cry too. Who leaves a tampon in the shower?!

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I have an inquisitive cat. when i put clothing in there.. i close it.. then scour the house until i see her.. then i'll turn it on.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

while holding her. so i know she's safe.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

UK, genuine question: Are your dryers/washers designed in a way you can't simply look to check there's nothing in there that shouldn't be?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Could be under a pile of clothes. I mean no way to be sure than to actually see.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've never left clothes in the dryer/washer to turn on. Laundry stays in the basket till it goes in, goes straight from washer to dryer.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

nope, just SUPER careful, i love that bundle of fluff.
