Simple motor

so are all of these maintaining contact with the negative side? Its hard to tell if the clips are just grazing, or not.

Commas, bitch.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Eh...this isn't a motor. This is a battery. There is no mechanical motion.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I see copper. I need cooper. Give me the copper.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

2/2 quantum electrodynamics if you want to get into it. getting into the nature of nature leaves more questions than answers

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Give me my fuckin ecig battery back

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now do no homopolar for the Republicans

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So thats how UFO's work!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't go to Ikea, I work at one and its a fucking maze.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

FLUX THIS

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1/2 once again gotta direct you to feynman on magnets. the Why will just lead you to "because thats how it works" the how can be shown with

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Funny how nature do dat...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And that kids is an electric motor in its most basic form

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Nope. It's how I met your mother.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't see why we can't use magnets to spin turbines for unlimited energy

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*nods thoughtfully* I understood most of those words individually.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Now make your own battery and then do it again.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We get it bro.. You vape. Lel

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*sigh* Electrical engineering.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

SCIENCE 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

What's annoying is the Jesse never actually said "Science bitch"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

WHO CARES, BITCH

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

BITCH 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

That's homo....polar.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

http://imgur.com/MdHY0bR <-- I get to use this for REAL science for once!

10 years ago | Likes 139 Dislikes 2

Haha! Doesn't happen often on here does it

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seen this gif several times, only just noticed the 666 on his forehead. Learn something new everyday.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Maybe tomorrow, browsing imgur right now

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sounds like most of my days - I'll gladly science Tuesday for an imgur today

*Bitch (yes I know it's not the actual line)

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

But it just wouldn't be complete without it.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is that an IKEA battery? They do have everything in that rat maze.

10 years ago | Likes 401 Dislikes 3

There is no cake. The cake is a lie

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One just opened up in St. Louis, and yes, yes they do.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Send help. Cannot find exit.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes. When the zombie apocalypse comes, I'll move to my closest Ikea and fortify it...

Make sure to grab a shøtgun.

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Nope, costco

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

With flimsy end tables?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just put one of their meatballs under every door - secured! ;)

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How do i do?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All you need are magnets, a battery and a length of (preferably) copper wire. Arrange as in #2. I.E Magnets at one end, bend wire into (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

desired shape and place wire on other end of battery. You might need quite strong (and small) magnets to make it work, though.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Battery magnets copper wire all you really need. We used to make this in small engines class

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Merci kind friend

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not the size of the engine, but how you use it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"How do magnets work?" Is a much easier question than "why do magnets work?" As Feynman explains

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Okay then smartypants. Then why can't we generate energy from magnets naturally repelling each other?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(^ Also that sounded sarcastic but I'd really like to know..)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you could just call two magnets into existence oriented so they snap into some other position, then you can. But you can't, so you can't.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Magnets, how do they work?

10 years ago | Likes 666 Dislikes 4

Yes.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Magnets are the real wizards

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

late to the party but whey hey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D2RaDVkylY

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

THEY JUST DO!

I DONT WANNA TALK TO A SCIENTIST. FUCKERS LYING, MAKING ME PISSED

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The description does not help me at all.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Has science gone to far?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Special glue.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Science bitch"?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unpaired electrons primarily in the d orbitals of many transition metals. I'm great at parties

10 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 1

Don't forget the Pauli principle.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't forget to arrange such atoms in abundance such that there is a net magnetic field. You don't want an antiferromagnet.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You're not going to mention self-inductance?

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Will you come to my party?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's it in your pants?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

ok... how do diamagnetic properties work? pls...for the party

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

dont forget the actual physics behind it. Just a lot of dipoles oriented in the same general direction.

So many people don't understand your joke...+1

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

ICP :) +1

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, we get it; hence the up-votes. Just some of us don't care much for ICP and don't find it all that amusing.
