Eric is known as "The Godfather of Gangsta Rap" and founder for Ruthless Records. He was part of the rap group N.W.A. In 1991 Eric accepted an invitation to a lunch benefiting the Republican Senatoral Inner Circle which was hosted by then U.S. President George H.W. Bush. Eazy supported Bush because of his performance in the Persian Gulf War.
He died in 1995 at the age of 30.

On April 7, 2017 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He began his career as a roadie, backup dancer, and MC for the alternative Hip-Hop group Digital Underground.
He died in 1996 at the age of 25.
