There is a dragon claw willow in my parents garden. At around 2 meters it snapped around 30cm above ground. There was a tiny bit of timber and bark joining the two parts. Currently it’s a twig in the ground with a full big trunk that continues to grow. No idea how the twig is feeding its Frankenstein’s monster and don’t want to interfere just in case.
