Went on a road trip with my buddies and we were taking turns driving. When it got to my turn I put on Baby Shark and one of my friends was like "nope, nope, nope. I'll take your shift". Hehe, too easy.
A song made by a kid in some free music software, which was then later sold to / licensed by Cisco, the corporation that manages the vast majority of phone lines, as the hold music.
I never understood why so many people drive with their hand crossed past the centre of the wheel - like he has his left hand up on the right side of the wheel, almost in the 1 o’clock position
When we (myself and most Black Americans I know) feel a vibe, we strike this pose. Regards of want's happening in the car, this pose means "I'm feeling good and in a good mood right now. I'm in a flow". NOTE: I don't know anyone who drives the entire trip in this position. Like most moods, this is a temporary thing.
To be clear, this isn’t a complaint - I didn’t express an opinion about the practice. I just don’t understand why people do it. It doesn’t seem comfortable or helpful, so I’m trying to understand
This is the default hold music used by Cisco Unified Communications Manager which is (or was, I'm no longer in the business) Cisco's line of VoIP PBXes.
Specifically it's Cisco's Opus Number One, and it has 2 things working against it: 1) You usually hear it when something unpleasant is happening and you really need to talk to a person. 2) For some reason the quality always sounds like a cassette tape that has been stored outside on the ground with no case for 30+ years, and the volume is cranked up to 200% or higher.
This is used in Australia with horrible quality (iCare or Tax office I think). I have a feeling the bad quality is deliberately to make people use the website and not speak to an operator
That's weird, every on hold music I've ever heard is an overamplified cassette recording of some sort of chamber music that may or may not have been written exclusively for being put on hold

Why? Because he obviously likes it? Plus, he's driving, he decides the music, thems the rules.

A better explanation than anything I’ve come up with, thanks

I feel like of all things you can do to improve safety behind the wheel, the position of your hands is probably lowest on the list.
Long stretches, people tend to relax into more low impact positions (hand on lap holding the bottom) for example.
Holding a proper distance between you and car before you. Not using a phone. Not being distracted.
Sadly even music is distracting. Drumming or singing to a beat or talking can throw off your impulses.
But no one is gonna adhere to the music/talk 1
BladeTurMoiL
Hell, even your seat should be adjusted properly. Too many people eat the wheel or recline like they’re rolling through the hood flexing their ride.

Hate these fucking captions. An ordinary song playing and "WhY hE pU THiS oN???" *obnoxious laughing emoji*

ok, apparently this is used on call centers or something, so not exactly 'ordinary'. But I still hate the caption.
