The Isle

The Isle recreates the perils of open-world survival where players take control as one of several dinosaurs species or human factions. Players fight online for resource points for their factions and ward off aggressive dinosaurs. Traversing a gorgeous island ecosystem to capture key points.

We have a very talented Concept artist in Rodrigo Vega (http://rodrigo-vega.deviantart.com/). He painted the landscape concepts shown above. As you can see the Isle will feature various terrains and dangers.

Rangers are just one of three of the playable human factions. The other factions include Poachers and Scavengers.

Become the Beast

One key focus of the Isle is the unique element of playing as dinosaurs and other creatures found on the islands. Players can select a variety of creatures and grow from juvenile to adulthood. As your dinosaur grows, you can select different palette options and skins, and eventually gain the ability to mutate into a much powerful version of your dinosaur and claim the right as the Apex.

Smaller carnivores are adept at killing cannibals/humans, but are not able to compete with other larger carnivores for food in direct encounters.

Strains

We plan to feature strains with our dinosaurs to bring different mechanics into the mix. Tissoplastic, Neurotenic, and Hyperendocrin. Each strain will give the dinosaur different traits and abilities from stealth to tank.

Other Dinosaurs

There are plans to have a lot of other dinosaurs in the game. If our Kickstarter gets funded we are working with Vlad Konstantinov (swordlord3d.deviantart.com) to create these awesome beasts. As a note: Some of you may recognize these models are from The Stomping Land. The lead developer failed to pay Vlad and did not have an exclusivity clause - something we will do.

Mod Support

The Isle will support all the features of Steamworks and allow for any aspect of the game to be modded by the community using Steam Workshop. Members of the community will be able to download a free copy of Unreal Engine 4 from Epic Games and generate mods and change all aspects of the game. This includes everything but not limited to making a new map, adding new dinosaur types or new game modes such as a Dinosaur Park Simulator or a role playing focused game mode.

You can subscribe to mods on the workshop and select what ones you want enabled when you start your server. Players joining the servers will automatically obtain the required mods without even needing to restart the game.
