No one has to make it emotional, but something from a time you two shared let's them know you remember their presence in your life and youd miss them. It's kind of a riff of a 5 or 6 point racing harness, but in those you have safer/dedicated mounting points attached to the structure of the vehicle or a roll cage and a central buckle low on the abdomen.
Granted, we're making a joke, so accuracy doesn't really matter, but in theory, probably not because the pretensioners (which aren't used in racing harnesses, you manually tighten) are mounted to the seat, not to a structural part of the vehicle, which is what you want.
