Not too many ingredients here..... And before you scream, I was sharing with a friend
The steak goes into the truffle butter....
Ooooh that's coming along nicely...
Then we add slices of foie.....
Ooooooh yes.... my body is ready....
The finished product. And yes, that's a glass of champagne in the upper right corner. Champagne, steak, foie gras and truffles are the cornerstone of a decadent low carb diet!

Foie needs no butter. You can put that in a hot dry pan. It's just fat. It won't stick.

That looks SO good! Sure i'd have done some mushrooms in butter to go with the side :p Was it as good as it looks?

It was quite nice! Not as divine as I'd hoped but still an enjoyable meal.

My heart says YES!.... My liver packed up and is ready to leave.

One of the advantages of foie gras is you can replace the departing liver with the ingested liver!

Wait, what champagne is low carb friendly? Seriously asking
YetAnotherCommenter
Any Brut champagne is at most 9g carbs in a whole bottle. Extra Brut is half that. Dry white wines are generally similar.

Always refused to eat fois gras but that looks amazing. Good job

Thank you. May I ask, why the refusal to eat foie gras? I mean its absolutely your choice and you have the right to it, but why do you?

If I remember correctly, it's cause they basically have to force feed the ducks corn by shoving tubes down their throats

Ducks have no gag reflex so they don't suffer like humans would. Plus, foie tastes so good that one stops caring about "duck rights."

What this foie grass?
YetAnotherCommenter
Its the liver of a duck which has been force-fed with a mixture of corn and fat, to the point where its liver is basically meat-butter.
Brainlard
Well you just answered your own question on why people would not want to eat that...
