12 years of watching anime part 2

Well heres part 2 that nobody asked for.

Its strangely hard to find anime that i watched, 5 years ago i had more than 100 written down somewhere and now i cant even find 100 that i watched, so send me any suggestions of <2005 anime, maybe i watched them.

Black Lagoon

Widely known anime and for a good reason. Black lagoon is a story about a gang living in a town of murder, drugs and mafia. In my opinion strongest point of this anime are the characters. All main characters are easily identifiable and VERY different in their behavior and values.

D-gray man

Another shonen anime with 100+ episodes (103). Though i wouldn't put it in the same basket as bleach,naruto or fairy tail, this one is much more gloomy. D-gray man didn't suffer from the "100 main characters" syndrome like other long lasting anime did, which is a huge plus for me. Some episodes have a very dark atmosphere and its not a "happy go lucky" anime overall. If you dislike naruto/bleach/fairy tail, but still want to watch some similar anime, i would suggest watching this one.

Scrapped Princess

Princess that is destined to destroy the world before her 16 birthday is on the run with her 2 bodyguards because people want to kill her, i wonder why. Just a colorful adventure anime nothing particularly interesting about it.

Sword art online

Anime that started very strong but ended up being a harem anime. Such a fucking disappointment. VR like device allows people to play an MMO with their minds. Fun part is that once inside the game people cant logout since developers rigged the devices to kill the user in case of forced removal, oh and yea there's permadeath, you die ingame you die in reallife. Anime is about people trying to defeat all bosses and free themselfs. Second season of this anime is even more dissapointing than the first one. If you want to watch something like this watch Log Horizon.
P.S. Hopefully we will see similar VR games in our lifetime, just without the death part.

This anime starts really horribly, in the first episode theres a little girl assassin which adresses one of the main characters as 'master", first time i heard it i just turned the anime of and deleted it. Fast forward a couple of years i hear TotalBiscuit saying he watched this, well hes not the person to watch a harem/worship anime, so i tried to watch it again. It is a story about a group of people stuck in a mmo world, but contrary to SAO which focuses on killing monsters, this anime is more about people trying to establish a proper society inside this game, though there are occasional fights and travels.

Cyber Coil

Hmm, probably the best way to describe this is to say that its similar to matrix (?) . Technology that allows people to see world in a matrix like way is wildly accessible, but in the city where main characters are living this cyber space is weird, there are evil things that will destroy you if they catch you ( agent Smith, no, not really). Similar to matrix, these evil programs cant be killed so all that is left for our heroes is to avoid them, and run like a wind when discovered.
Quite interesting anime, with some intense moments.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai

Dont get fooled by the "kawai" girls on the cover, this anime is the last thing you would categorize as school life, ecchi or anything else for that matter. This anime is pure fucking horror, i wont spoil the plot. Just go and watch, this here is a masterpiece and nothing else i have heard or seen stands close.

Fairy tail

Quite a popular shonen anime set in a world were magic is real. Magic users join guilds, go on quests etc. One of those anime that will never end while people are watching it. I personally dislike it, it is stuffed with silly gimmicks and fanservice, and quality drop in drawing after the first hundred episodes is noticeable.

Hellsing

You either watched or heard about it. Legendary anime about a vampire and all the bloody stuff he is doing. Great anime without the need to go into detail.

Macross Frontier

Macross frontier is about mechas fighting alien creatures .... and a girl who's singing helps the fight.
Go watch Gundam.

Shiki

This is a strange take on a vampire anime. How should i put it, they aren't portrayed as an invincible beings, humans can protect themselves from the bloodsuckers, but the catch is they don't know it, and they don't know who vampires are. I liked this anime a lot, its a story about a town and a family of vampires. Anime has moments of tension and moments where you feel sorry for these vampires.

One of my favorite vampire anime, i like it more than Hellsing
Horror, drama

Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom

Guy gets hes memories wiped out and is made into a killing machine under control of the mafia. Story revolves around him and the girl in similar position. Not an anime that would stand out from all those others "trained to kill" anime, but certainly is not bad. If you dont have anything else to do you should try watching this.

Tsubasa Chronicle

Boy falls in love with a girl, but her memories get scattered between worlds in a form of feathers. They are now on a journey to "catch them all". Again, not a particularly notable anime, but is not bad per se.

Naruto

Nartuo is one of those anime that will last until people watch it. And sadly it went downhill, naruto: shitpudens later episodes are a disgusting thing with unbearably low drawing quality, whole seconds of nothing happening on screen while some character offscreen is talking.
That said, first 200 series of naruto are very, fucking, good.

An amazingly smart and serious boy has a pet vampire. didnt even finish the first season.

Comedy,

Blue Exorcist

Anime is about a guy whos father is satan himself. This guy on the other hand want to be good, so he joins a magic academy to get stronger and protect, or kill stuff...
I would call this mainstream anime.

Buso Renkin

Anime i watched long time ago, mostly its about a boy that is constantly protected by a girl, he then gets stronger and protects the girl, that kind of anime. Oddly enough i don't find this anime repulsive, maybe its because of the ending.

Eyeshield 21

A story about a very fast but skinny guy playing handegg. This one is definitely targeted ad the younger audience but hell, its funny and easy to watch.

Bleach

One of those anime that people thought will never end, but it did. If not for the fillers this would be a much stronger title. Dragon ball like anime about a guy discovering (or being granted) godly powers, battling enemies and getting stronger. The biggest problem with long ongoing anime is drop in quality. Bleach in my opinion didn't suffer from neither drawing or story quality drop. Worth watching if you are prepared to either watch the fillers or google when the real story continues.

Don't blame me, i was young at the time. Story starts with a guy switching on robot by touching her pussy, later they fall in love, just don't ....

Ergo proxy

All i could gather after watching it was that there's a virus that makes robots act violently and this girl is on the search of the source. One of those anime that i should probably rewatch since a lot of time has passed, maybe now i can understand it a little better.

Deadman Wonderland

A very short anime (12 episodes) about a school boy getting blamed for a mass murder, and ending up in a prison where inmates compete on stage. Anime is just average, weak guy gets superpowers still acts like a wimp, and then those closeups moments when he just goes pewpewpew.

Gosick

An ingenious little girl helps a guy solve puzzles. Some sites group it under detective, but it is as much a detective as Death note is a comedy. Unless you like to watch anime where little kids are smarter than all the adults around i wouldn't suggest watching this.

Hitsugi no Chaika

Identical to Scrapped Princess, brother and sister are protecting a girl that everyone wants to kill.Even though this is not a bad anime, I would rather watch Scrapped Princess.

Shakugan no Shana

Well its a mainstream anime with a magical girl and a boy that wants to protect her. Meh, one season of this was enough for me.

This fucking thing here is a gem. I remember watching this on television even before i had a pc. I did rewatch it a few years ago, it is still as relaxed and pleasant anime to watch as it was 10 years ago. This is a story about shamans and their spirits going on a journey to battle for the title of the SHAMAN KING

Soul eater

Story about a school of "death gods" ? Story goes along the lines of any shonen anime (soul eater is 51 episodes long), main characters get stronger to face an even stronger opponent etc. It is not a bad anime, but i cant say anything particularly good about it either, if you want to watch something like bleach/naruto but shorter i would try this.
