My secret Santa sent me such a cool little thing. It’s a Sterling Engine or an external combustion engine.

Here’s how it works:
-The alcohol lamp heats the air in the cylinder above it; this expands the air inside
- The expanded air pushes the cylinder back, wich pushes the bottom thing out
- With the bottom thing out, cold air flows up the bend and into the top cylinder
The cycle repeats until the heat is removed

I love it! Thank you for the cool, unique gift.

You're so welcome! I'm so happy you like it!

Really cool. Was wondering how it sounded. Then I saw it. The little muted speaker on the top right hand corner. Oh the joy.

That is a great flame licker engine. I can watch those for hours, so fascinating.

Nice. I have one of these too!

So alcohol solved your mini engine problem?

The same engine that allows inexpensive subs to sink very expensive US aircraft carriers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saCdvAp5cow

Is that a sewing machine?

It is a sewing.

Ey i got one of those for my birthday last year! Does yours kinda vibrate then start to move around on your desk?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fun fact: it works as a refrigerator too. If you put motor to run it, one end heats up and the other cools down.

Thank you for filming the correct way

We need an eternal combustion engine. Let's find God and put Him to work!

Who was this SS, where can I get one of these for my dad?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was the SS, if you search "Stirling engine" on amazon there are a few different ones.

Stirling!

So now is when @OP hooks up his favorite dildo to the machine. Enjoy!

That is so cool

Use methylated spirits, they burn hotter and it works alot easier.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want one!!!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Okay . . .but where do you put the weed?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In your butt, gets you like 10 times more higher

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@OP if you like that you could maybe google hit and miss engines, thats a thing from around the same era, Victorians engines are cool

Now figure out how to turn it into a generator to charge your phone!

Stirling engine phone charger in action. https://youtu.be/1JqFXcVLhMk

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Very very VERY little torque to the thing though, so couldn't really make much current. Better than 0, but that's about it.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

It's a sterling engine, they are already used in power generation. I do admit a table top phone charger does sound cool.

Very cool.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

use the energy to play a video about unlimited Free Energy on youtube..

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's exactly what I was thinking

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

With a name like Christian Fuchs, you know it will work!

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That guy Fuchs.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With a name like that you're either part German, or a porn star. Possibly both. Either way he should know all about thrusting pistons

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

you need a coil, magnet, and a rod. attach rod to thing that goes "in and out" so its a push/pull machineattach magnet to tip of rod and¹

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

²let it push/pull the magnet through the coil, will generate AC electricity the issue will be cutting it from that crazy frequency to 60hz

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just stick the copper in your charging port, I'm sure it will be fine.
