My beagle does this. We're on our way to bed right now.

Have a dog, He sleeps when I am at work in my bed. He also sleeps when I get home.. in my bed. So...yeah? Fat dog.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

our cats And dogs do this, had to buy a bigger bed

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a Belgian Shepherd. Took a 4-day road trip w/her, and she chilled on the bed every night, no fuss, to let me sleep. Good girl.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is beautiful!

7 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 2

I work nights too. My 14 year old dachshund loves to sleep 17 hours. All night then again when I get home.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My cat does this. But after a couple of hours I always wake up, because shes sitting on my chest trying to eating my hands up

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Sweet pups make the world go round

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Your human looks a lot like a human I know

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

6 dogs out of every 7 sleep with their owners.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When I worked overnights my cat would always come sleep all day under my arm when I got home.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He protec, he attac, and he sleep on owner bac

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Also night worker, my corgi does the same thing.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My dog stays by me all day. At my feet on the bed, at my feet on the couch, I have to watch her go pee or she won't go down the steps

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm no crying...you're crying

you might be cutting onions but I got hit in the balls by a turnip....

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Great pic OP, keep up the pupper love.

7 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 9

Not OP

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pic so old dog is dead now

7 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

:(

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I actually know this guy and can confirm that dog is not dead. And still loves original OP this much

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

How bout now?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still kicking around being a good girl! Getting older now, I think she's 9 or 10. But still a good girl

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I work overnights and am getting a puppy in september. I hope it loves me as much too!

7 years ago | Likes 375 Dislikes 1

if it's just you and the puppy and you always do this maybe it'll just be nocturnal

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same, and I just got a puppy! Just make sure you have a space you can let them stay while you get some actual sleep alone.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For the first week, I just slept with him on the couch, which was a mistake. They should have time to learn to be alone. It’s worked so far!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s a dog...so, like feed it, don’t beat it, and you’ll be good.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My 13 year old Malamutt does this and I work 3rd shift. Drives my wife nuts that the dog sleeps with me and not during the night with her.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Any pupper probably cared for will give more love than it receives. Be a good owner and you'll get puppy hugs for sure :D

7 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 1

That's what I hear. Dogs are amazing like that!

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

It's why I've always agreed with the Axel Munthe quote:"Never trust someone who doesn't love dogs or isn't loved by dogs."

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I did that for a year before I went back to days. It was a tough year.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

It really is tough. I remember 10 years ago I applied for a temp job thinking I'm 21, 3rd shift might be fun. 10 years later worst decision.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can't seem to get off of it though. It is nice with less people around. But it fucks up your life royally.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I agree 100% on both points.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah unlikely

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 13

:(

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Dont listen to that guy. He's a cat person

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Well I am a cat person too haha. I actually had a 23 yo cat that passed away last year. So glad I waited on a puppy til after she went>

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Holy moly!! 23 yrs old!! What a life for a kitty.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean obviously she was on her way out but I would've thought it contributed and never would've forgiven myself.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well, just so you understand, what's happening in that picture isn't love, it's dominance, at least, that's what it seems to be, that is not

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 19

A comfortable position, at least, it doesn't look comfortable.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 11

It’s not dominance, it’s protection. The puppy is “standing watch” of his human while he rests and is vulnerable. It indicates a strong bond

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

A dog can have a dominant relationship and a protective one, the 2 are not mutually exclusive. The dog being dominant can still have a

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

strong bond with a human, it's just not a good idea to have the dog being the dominant figure, it's a human world, the dog is not equipped

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

to lead because it doesn't understand how things work, needs it's owner to show the way.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You’re absolutely right they’re not mutually exclusive. The human is alpha always. But this behavior pictured above is not one of dominance.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm sure it takes a lot of work to convince a dog to sleep. In a bed.

7 years ago | Likes 1937 Dislikes 7

Surprisingly, my husky is well mannered when in the bed. My GSD on the other hand, any little noise and she’s on alert.

Or maybe.. they're just sharing a thought. Maybe..

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All three of my dogs sleep with me. Its a hassle -_-

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When it’s a Shepard puppy who just slept all night and is packed with energy then yes it does

7 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

True. Then it becomes a battle for the hot spot when they figure out you've got the electric blanket on

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Our cat is sleeping on me in bed for the past 2 hours. But if I were up, he would beg to go outside... and probably sleep in a bush

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only happens when the girlfriend is over, otherwise, the dog stays downstairs regardless of coaxing

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Our dog has a chair it loves to curl up in, unless someone is on the couch.

7 years ago | Likes 213 Dislikes 1

My pup lies on the bed with me when I'm lying in bed but as soon as i go over to my desk he hops up and moves about a foot over to his chair

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He gets up and moves a minute amount because it's closer to my desk. I don't think selective breeding could have worked out any better

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same here! He loves his chair! Since he isn't allowed on the bed or couch. He just gets in his chair and lays his head on them.

7 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

I love your dog.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I do too

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Our dog used to lie sprawled on the couch most of the day...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was thinking just that

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My Jack Russell hates my bed. But she's a masochist, so lies in it for hours on end.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It can be after a full night sleep already. Many breads won't sit restless knowing you are there and will bark, wimper, and jump on you

Both my dogs do this. Shepard mix and lab mix. There is no sleeping in when they're around.

Nice doggo! Is it a purebread? :)

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I don't know how to get my dogs to stop sleeping in my bed. They take up so much room! But I love it.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

My wife and I sleep in separate rooms now cause of this, we each take one dog haha, only way to get good sleep on weeknights before work

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

yeah it's hard to have 4 beings crammed into one queen bed. i keep insisting we need to upgrade to a king, but that's an expensive switch.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yup been back and forth on buying an adjustable king size for months now. Every weekend we go to living spaces but keep putting it off haha

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

try checking out Nextdoor for a mattress. it's a little less sketchy than CL. hard to find a frame that fits your decor though.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My dog doesn't want to sleep in my bed. Even at the foot of it. He accepts to sleep right next to it though. Dunno what that means.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

One of mine is like that. He doesn't like being touched while he sleeps so he sleeps on floor by the bed. Other one sleeps in bed with us.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He’s a fierce independent black woman that don’t need no mans to make him whole.

7 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 2

When my dog was a puppy, he refused to sleep in my bed, he slept under my bed every single night (he's now an outside dog :( ) for years.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Floor is cooler than bed that and some dogs just prefer sold ground.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

That dog's a gold digger if you ask me. Only cares about property.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

lol, *solid ground
