The great irony here for those aware of the stereotype is that the Mexicans are drilling to USA for the sake of COLLECTING drugs taken in / produced by USA'ns, not delivering them; as per usual, lower-North-America's (conservative) accusations are, were and always will be no more than thinly-veiled self-condemnations wrapped in hypocrosy and wilful ignorance, from claiming to have been victimised by a distant colonial master to "liberating" whatever oil reserves they can lay tank treads on, etc.

There were several tunnels under the river between El Paso and Cd Juarez that was dug during prohibition and was not discovered until recent times.
