I don't get how people can lack that much peripheral vision

my phone is water resistant =(

There was a toddler in China today run over by an SUV and killed because the mother was distracted by her cell phone. Very sad stuff.

This needs to happen much more often.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

did she just fall into a giant vat of beer

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How do you react when you actually see something do this? I feel like I would try to ignore it and then somehow make myself feel awkward.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dammit Jim!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We should just put small fountains everywhere

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Oooooooh and that's cold water. You can tell by how everyone is dressed even indoors

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Good. Now next time she won't walk that fast looking at her phone right into traffic.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I wish this would happen to some of the dummys at Austin Peay

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Should be an active stargate.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can some shop it so she vanishes in an active SG? 8)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That looks like the fountain in dawn of the dead

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hopefully that was one of the new waterproof phones. #savedmyaddiction

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

oooh that looked like she took the metal part of the fountain right to the face

9 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

Good.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

Yeah, it looks like it. She is holding her hand on her face after she gets up.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Saw a girl walk right into a door the other day.

9 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 0

I've been watching so much Letterkenny that I read that in Wayne's voice...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She should have walked left

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

into the door

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It must be hard being that stupid

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Didn't this lady sue the mall security for releasing this footage. What an asshole.

9 years ago | Likes 504 Dislikes 16

not this lady. this is a girl in Beijing. The Suing shopper fell into a square fountain. Cathy Cruz Marrero. 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I believe part of it was the security guards were laughing at her. Not the best way for a mall to project its image.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Or she just wanted money ...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No. You're thinking of one in the US, I think PA? This is Japan. Same sequence of events, tho

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Eh. Who cares. All it's worth to us is 2 seconds of entertainment.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Different lady but yah I wonder what happened

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She looks like the kinda snooty bitch that would do that. One winter, a lady slipped on ice outside the salon I worked @ and tried to sue us

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Personally, I don't think security cam footage should be released for entertainment purposes.

9 years ago | Likes 126 Dislikes 25

But this is edutainment

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

i agree. legally they should be able to release it, but as policy they shouldn’t actually ever release it. like legally you can scream at>

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

random people on the street. but you very much should not do that.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree if noone else really does, Mr Caffeine.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Businesses should have enough respect for their customers not to shame or embarrass them. Legally idk though

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

but this is for educational purposes

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Two questions: 1. why not, and 2. do you want the government to force that view on people? Follow up to question 2 if you answer yes: (1)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

under what authority would the government prevent someone releasing video they filmed, and how is that not a free speech violation? (2)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

2/2 that would be legal

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

They didn't follower her around. She came to THEIR property. Voluntarily.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Would you find it okay if I followed you around all day with a camera and uploaded everything to youtube? Because with what you suggest 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Everyone has the right to film their own private property and release it. See also: home camera footage of package thiefs.

9 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 11

problem is, mall land is considered a "Public space" during hours of operation, thus permission of those in the film are required 2 b legal.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

Except no, someone owns that

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

uwot? You don't need permission to photograph or record footage of someone in public spaces.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

after 3 years o film school, 2 inches of penis, and 1 lack of degree, you can bet I know what Im talking about.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I first want to say your comment made me laugh. Second, doesn't the law on being publicly filmed vary depending on where you live?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"[m]alls are examples of 'private space' with the appearance of being 'public space'." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_space

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

See I didn't think that was true either. But what about outdoor security cam footage, like of parking lot AND sidewalk??

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Meh, I'd do the same... they fucked up and that's why they have insurance. Get paid

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 13

In what way did they fuck up?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Posting it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

How is that a fuck up? It's their video, taken with their camera, on their property. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Omg, employees against company policy posted it not the owners

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I work in security. The recordings belong to the company and aren't allowed to be put on YouTube.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

That would be up to company, now wouldn't it? I find it highly unlikely you're familiar with this particular mall's policies.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Most malls use contractors from security staffing companies. I work for one of those. Never in a mall, but I had to do some training 1/

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

They didn't fuck up though, that fountain is no different than a curb, unless you think people should sue cities for tripping on curbs.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Posting it is against policy etc... they fucked up

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Policy is not law, it was a public place, no expectation of privacy, no law against releasing it, I.E. no fuck up.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you are talking about the footage, you are in a public place, there is no expectation of privacy, and it is stated you are being filmed.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Wrong, against policy. Thus isn't a 1st ammendment issue

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a private space, not public

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

It is a public shopping mall, I.E. public, with notifications that security recordings are taking place.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You have an awfully warped view of what is private....

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Wait, this is not fake?

I know at one point, there was an app that you could get that would replace the text screen background with a feed from your camera.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Thats pretty neato

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Next big huh? Still haven't seen the first Kardashian tweet. Probably the one where they are decleared dead

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why wish death on people that don't effect your life at all? Shits weak bro.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Did I say I wish death on them? Nope. Just saying its the first big tweet about them

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What's funny is nobody would know who this is based on the footage, but the lawsuit attached her name to it!

9 years ago | Likes 338 Dislikes 1

Streisand effect is such a beautiful thing.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Never heard of that before

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sounds like american

9 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 21

I see Asian lettering on the red sign

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually, corporations created the myth of American frivolous lawsuits so people are less likely to sue corporations.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

Someone ought to sue them for that!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't know why you're getting downvoted, I agree with you entirely. And I'm an American.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

thanks :D
