Just adopted this handsome/beautiful (no idea if its male or female) cockatiel from my local SPCA. Poor bird has scabs all over its wings, likely from self-mutilation due to neglect. Got him/her in a nice big cage with lots of toys to play with. Going to let it adjust to his new home and then start working on getting him/her to trust me.

Good for you helping the poor little birdie. Rescues are the best. :)

You're the best kind of person.

I have a cockatiel that looks exactly like that

He's so cute! I have two cockatiels and they are so sweet! I love them. It might get time for him to get along, but just be patient.

I got him knowing it might take him a while to warm uo to me. I'll give him plenty of patience. I've adopted neglected animals before.

Take him to an avian vet. Also birds in captivity are very prone to fatty liver problems from being fed seed. Get him on a good pellet.

Yeah the food he came with is just some cheap crappy seed stuff. Gonna wait till he's settled before changing his diet so I don't stress him
Sharklaserspewpew
Yeah cant change it quick. And im sure he is stressed
