Poor guy was crying. But also, his girlfriend or someone was very audibly threatening him and demeaning him.

I overheard him saying stuff like "I don't have enough money to pay for it" and "please don't put me back there officer" and "I just want my dog" all the while crying.

Anyone who had similar experience please share. I feel terribly guilty. Downvote if you must.

Sweetie, I am sorry you had to witness that, but just read all the wonderful comments and remember that calling is better than not.

This happened to me too. The upstairs neighbor dude got arrested 6 times. Always her fault! She was a rotten human. She finally got hers

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

This sounds like you killed her.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you did what seemed right, no matter what the outcome is

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 6

Yes. I tried to act before things got worser.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

He could also be playing the victim...

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I called the cops on my ex for hitting me in the face, they showed up she said I pushed her (which I did not) I went to jail.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

You separated the situation before someone got really hurt.

8 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 5

I really hope I did. I just wanted to know if this was a real possibility or if I was just making things up in mind.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

It's unfortunate that no matter what the situation is, if the cops are called for domestic violence, the man is taken to jail. It's law

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Calling the cops almost ALWAYS gets you in trouble, whether you want it to or not. 'Murica.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Do to the copshop and report the things you heard, could help him.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

By all means try, but don't expect them to be very interested without having actually seen who hit who.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

We don't know that anyone hit anyone. It was a screaming match and it sounds like he was the one doing all the screaming.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Your comment reminds me of one story about my grandparents - grandma was always abusive and verbally aggressive to grandpa, but always >

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

kept her voice down, so when grandpa loses his nerves and starts yelling, all the neighbors hear is him yelling. She drove him mad for years

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The cops were called on a frightened man in a hospital gown shivering in the bushes up my street. He had scissors. 12 pigs shot him.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I hope the guy gets his dog back :(

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

He won't OP made sure of it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There's no guarantee that he's a better dog owner than she is.

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 4

Dudes don't do well when cops come during domestic disputes

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I had the cops called on me once for making waffles with a large but chill group of friends at 8pm. The officers didn't know what to do.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Oh noes, someone is having fun! We can't have none of that, call the cops!" ffs

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

OP it's better to call the coops if you suspect something. It sucks that it turned out the way it did but ignoring it could have been worse.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How would you feel if you hadn't called the cops and it was nothing to do with a dog, and somebody ended up dead or badly wounded? U did ok.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey op, if it makes you feel any better, you’ll never know what really happened.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Maybe the guy was raping the dog.

8 years ago | Likes 214 Dislikes 40

Maybe the girl was raping the dog.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I bet she was naked under that collar, that slut.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah, but.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No more butts that's how we got in this mess

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know what life is.

8 years ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 2

None of us do, life is an ever changing, shifting rubix cube. Just when you think you got a few sides figured out BAM! Something shows up.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

That...kinda...scares the fuck outta me, actually.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Why? Life isn't meant to be solved, at least to me it isn't. Life is a constant trial and error journey, filled with lessons and random shit

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

What if you can solve a Rubix cube? Are you a god? :o

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe not 100% relevent but reminded me of this. https://youtu.be/AkoML0_FiV4 I guess it makes things feel more unstable

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

fuck yeah

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They all cry when handcuffed but you don't know what the other person went with that guy. Don't feel guilt.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

You deserve to live without violence around you. You absolutely should have called.

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 5

Never, NEVER regret calling the cops over something like this. If you hadn't, all that abuse would have continued.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've called cops on someone twice in my life, first time it turned out the girl was beating her bf, which is why there always was noise 1/3

8 years ago | Likes 194 Dislikes 5

From the apartment, I don't regret calling the cops, but it was lucky that there actually was something bad going on. The second time was2/3

8 years ago | Likes 147 Dislikes 3

Because my neighbors kids would scream constantly and when police showed up I found out that the kids were being beaten and treated like3/4

8 years ago | Likes 147 Dislikes 3

You can’t be changing you denominator like that. Got me all in a tizzy

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

Sorry, thought I could fit it into 3 parts then 4 then 5 ;P

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah, happens to me pretty often aswell. Just use (1/n) or (1/?)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Animals, haven't regretted calling the police ever, the mother cried over losing her children, but this woman was beating her kids, bad 4/5

8 years ago | Likes 150 Dislikes 1

People cry just like anyone else, doesn't mean they are innocent. This was longer than I thought, but don't worry, you did the right thing.

8 years ago | Likes 145 Dislikes 1

Wrong

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 22

i really don't understand why we cant have more than 140 characters and maybe some formatting tools. we aren't tweeting replies here

Its called playing the Victim.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You seem to live next to a lot of horrible people.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

My wife and i separated for a while. We used to have horrible fights and she would hit me. Things are better now, we've gone to counseling >

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Why are you still there

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We split for over a year. I went to counseling for my own issues. She had to go to counseling for her stuff. Then we went together.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still...sometimes I wonder if she's still capable of that. I still don't know if i really trust her or if I just want to be there to protect

my son.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds like she's using the dog as the most powerful weapon to hurt him. :(

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

It's sad but just because someone is crying, it doesn't mean that they're without fault. Lots of bad people cry when they're caught.

8 years ago | Likes 652 Dislikes 33

Yep, it’s true.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yeah. I'm the worst, and I cry all the time!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I agree. But hard to digest this.

8 years ago | Likes 144 Dislikes 5

If the dog is well fed and carefully taken cared of, the dog is in good hand.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You only saw a snippet of the situation. Both parties are guilty of something and the police will sort everything out.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

If it was her apartment theyd remove him regardless of him being 'right or wrong', if that hel

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

Ahhh yes, the impervious Duluth model. Even if it wasn't her apartment...

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

You did the right thing. If things are fucked up about the dog, that's their doing.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You had good intent, that's 'll that matters.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The road to hell is paved with good intentions

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

It's actually paved with frozen door-to-door salesmen.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

ever seen those pics of the kids that got caught SWATting twitch streamers? youre absolutely right. and its fuckin pathetic.

8 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 9

What?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

SWATting is calling in a hostage situation on someone falsely, so that the S.W.A.T. team shoes up. Kids think it's funny to do it to streams

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Ohhhhh well that's incredibly fucked up.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and when you see the kids get caught, and sit there and cry in the courtroom, i cant find the specific picture, but its pathetic.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What?

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Meaning they called in a fake hostage situation or whatever to get someone on the Internet raided by cops, then cried when they were caught.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Oh man do you have any links? I would love to see some of those get what's coming...

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

look up Ice Poseidon. he is a cringy LA vlogger but he has been swatted probably at least a dozen or so times in various places

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope, sorry. I knew what he was talking about, but I've never seen those videos. They do sound pretty great, though!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

https://youtu.be/3NLUI-OmQKI fucking hate this guy's voice but I think this is it.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

someone called the cps on my parents because my sibling and i were too loud while playing video games and they thought they were abusive

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If you can tell the woman is the only one making the threats, when you call the cops tell them you hear a woman attacking her boyfriend.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

If you say 'a couple is fighting violently', they will almost always arrest the man no matter what.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

Well, that makes sense. (both literally and in relation to your username)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't take that the wrong way. What the caller 'feels' and what really is happening can be different, but the man will still be arrested.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Used to be a cop, once we went to an appartment cause the wife called pretending she was beaten. We got there and thz guy who weighted 1/

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Half of the woman weight was clearly the victim of physical violence. We took him in for the night because it would require more evidence 2/

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

To lock a female up even for a night. The husband was drunk and happy to spend the night far from her. It was years ago, still not ok to me.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

It may be that the officer did wrong, but you didn't.

8 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 16

I hesitated to call cops on a neighbor once, 2 days later their kid wandered into the street, a lady almost run the kid over.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Another angle. Possible. Thanks!

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 2

Can't really say the officer did wrong when he was just doing his job...

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 11

"Just doing your job" hasn't been a valid excuse since the Nuremberg trials.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

The military have a certain amount of built in authority to reject unlawful / war crime orders. Police procedures like the Duluth model 1/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/ might be wrong in some cases, but they've been lawfully instituted. Cops don't have leeway to disobey that kind of orders.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just because you're doing your job doesn't mean it can't be wrong.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Well, you can say he did wrong if he took the wrong position in the matter, and arrested the guy just because he's the guy. Often happens.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 7

This X1000. Many shitty cops will take the woman's side no matter what.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

We don't know thats what happened at akk. If it's her house, of course they remove him. We don't know he lives there.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

When they get called in for domestic disputes its standard to separate the people even if they claim everything is ok.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"often"? "Always". In America, at least. They follow the Duluth model, which states the man is always the one to be taken away.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

IF he did. It could be as simply as they had to remove him (not arrest even) because it was her premises and he was the "intruder/guest".

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Of course, IF. A big IF, but not to exclude. Point is OP did nothing wrong by calling the police, quite the opposite.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Arrest records are public, and you know the date, time and location. If you heard something that might help his defense, go offer.

8 years ago | Likes 815 Dislikes 9

exactly, if ur going to stick ur nose in someone's business, stick it all the way in!!!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just be weary of the hearsay rules of evidence, you may need to testify and be subject to cross-examination so be prepared for that!

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

and I kept hearing "you were sleeping with him when I was taking care of my own mother. I just wanna kill myself" just crying hard.. and (2)

8 years ago | Likes 275 Dislikes 3

@OP please help him. Now I'm invested :(

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

I will certainly go to the police station and enquire about it. Looks like the guy was just fined. I think. Maybe bcuz he was on the lease.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm glad. Don't overstep but definitely see if there's a way to get involved :) Thanks OP.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Arrest records are public only if you don't expunge it.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

In the US, expunging that kind of record is mostly not done.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Awesome. I will certainly try to. The girl seems like a real bitch. I had called the cops once because I heard similar fighting (1)

8 years ago | Likes 290 Dislikes 4

Potentially there may be a little more justice to go around if it's done.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Try to stay unbiased man remember you only know as much as you've heard through a wall.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Could she be keeping the dog as leverage and he just tried getting him back? It kinda sound like they arrested the wrong person :/

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

Primary aggressor laws make situations like this a mine field for men on the reviving end of DV

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And they assume 9 times out of 10 that the male is the aggressor.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Stay in your lane OP. You should have never called the cops in the first place probably should have just gone up and told them to be quiet.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 21

We all have 20/20 hindsight unfortunately

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Bullshit. He called the cops to break up a violent fight. He had no obligation to go up and risk his own safety by getting involved.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Context. You can argue violently, you can also become physically violent. I interpreted it as the former not the latter.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

He said violently fighting, to me that means yelling and screaming in the apartment complex and not necessarily physical abuse

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

she was repeating "I couldn't help it. You should have been there for me" or something with no regret in her voice whatsoever. (3)

8 years ago | Likes 244 Dislikes 4

Fuck, I was thinking about ways to be passive aggressive to this cunt, but you can't do anything without making the guy look bad.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow, what a cunt.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 3

I vehemently detest the idea that it's okay to cheat if you feel neglected enough by an SO. People like that create chronic trust issues.

8 years ago | Likes 141 Dislikes 1

If someone is feeling that neglected they need to leave outright and go be with someone who will give them what they need

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

About the most selfish thing anyone can do, IMO

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

Agreed. At least do the decent thing and break up with them first.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I genuinely cant understand how they justify such an act in their head. You will feel terrible even by thinking but they dont feel guilt.

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

I live in a small town this is the best apartment I could find man :(

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Cheap apartments can have drywall that is thick cardboard covered in a bit of spackle. No privacy, no insulation.

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

The kind of floors you can cut a hole in and shit into.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just very mumbled, muffled yelling from next door, at their kids I presume.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That is exactly how my apartment is, but I can never hear exact words, even when the neighbor is screaming.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

No insulation between the apartments, just drywall,studs/an air gap, and drywall on their side. Gotta have some thin walls.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I've seen nothing that makes the man seem "pretty awful", thus far. What did I miss here?

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

I'm trying to glean the other side of the story instead of instantly buy the narrative that she's the only cunt. Threatening loudly to kill>

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 10

> yourself is extremely emotionally manipulative. Plus I mean he did nothing to calm the situation. He remained willingly part of it.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 13

Understandable. But I now ask: Would you, honestly, think and say the same if it were the woman making suicide threats?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

I mean no offence with my questions, I am being sincere. I'm not saying you wouldn't treat it equally, I'm just asking. Many wouldn't...

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Would "She remained willingly part of it" be considered victim blaming? Being stuck in an abusive relationship?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm gonna be honest if the dude just found out that she was cheating on him then he is too emotionally compromised to make proper decisions.

was it a boy or a girl?

I'm curious... why he was using gender neutral descriptions of the kid, whether it was male or female, and why 14 people maaad

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 16

Probably because it's equally awful either way, and people thought you were fishing for a way to make it seem "better" one way or the other.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm not going to lie. I'm kind and forgiving, but I know I KNOW that I would kill someone who did that to my child. I wish there was doubt 1

8 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 5

That was my first thought. I'd cut the guy's dick off and let him bleed out.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A lot of parents - and people - fantasize about such "legitimate" circumstances for using extreme violence. But almost none actually would.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

In the Netherlands, there's this woman who did that. After serving a prison sentence of X years, she said she shouldn't have done it and...

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

...recommends that others don't do it either.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

In my mind. I really do. I don't WANT to kill anyone...but I know I would. There's no way I could live knowing there wasn't swift and 2/3

You are a goddamn hero.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How do you even have this conversation? Just fucking leave!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"listen man, you kinda need to stop this."

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Were they mentally retarded?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sound advice.

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but she wasn't exactly kicking him out over it either.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

That is rather difficult, sadly.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And here I'm thinking that's a perfectly acceptable excuse for murder.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

You'd be sadly surprised how common it is for children raised by addicts. some pedophiles actively seek out addicted mothers. Since they

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

the way you phrased it it sounds like she thought that was a really reasonable request

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

like most people shoot child molestors in the head... she just had a loud but calm discussion with one

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

More like *wish they could*, when in reality most skip off into the sunset scot-free. Tra la la la la

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that's the world we live in man, these people should have died out a long time ago the amount of hatred people have for them

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well, it is reasonable to ask someone not to have sex with your kid.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

More reasonable to kill them and make sure the body is never found, though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

fairly yeah, most people would communicate that with their hands or their knife drawer though

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Thanks for calling the police. That mother should have called when she knew, like my dumbass mother should have. Fuckers.

8 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 5

Sorry that happened to you dude. You deserved better. ~Hugs~

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

We all do. Thanks for the kind wishes.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mom had a habit of leaving me over night at places where I'd get molested (or worse) while she went and partied. Dunno if she was taking

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

money, didn't care, or it was just horrible fucking coincidence. I never forgave her for it, that's for fucking sure.

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

You don't have to. You can choose family, I do. I kept some, made more. I wish I knew what they had done to me earlier though.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sorry you had to go through that. I hope you are in a happy, peaceful place now. ~Hugs~

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

It's hard to forgive someone for willingly putting you in those situations. My mom did that too, then blamed me for it.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

"Telling him he needed to stop having sex with her 6 year old." Seems like a very mild reaction to knowing your husband is having 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 714 Dislikes 7

"Dear, we've always been open & I need to share my feelings. I just cant get past it, so I need you to stop having sex with our small child"

8 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 1

*raping

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 11

Wasn't her husband, or the father. Crack heads.(or meth). Sadly really fucking common for children of addiction.

8 years ago | Likes 444 Dislikes 4

Well still, my point remains.

8 years ago | Likes 121 Dislikes 3

You said "his kid."

sex with your kid.

"Look Harold, we need to have a discussion about this, sometime this week."

*raping

8 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 4

I mean, either way it's true, so...

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 13

One caveat; if you know someone with mental illness threatening to kill themselves, cops are probably not the best people to call for help.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

If someone is threatening suicide, call a suicide prevention line for help. Call the police *ONLY* when they're threatening somebody else.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends on where you live. Officers in city where I work are well trained in this area and even have a special mental health unit.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That's fantastic. But many police departments don't have those, and there are other folks you can call that are better suited to help.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Except that you *need* to call 911. In spite of horror stories cops are trained to give aide and we can't get ppl help involuntarily wo thm.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Can't kill yourself when you're dead yo

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Too many stories of cops killing the people they're called to help.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

It doesn't make as much money as something that lasts a long time by nature.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

People don't talk about it for weeks and months and years afterward. It doesn't persist because people aren't angry.2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

You never hear the hundreds of thousands of good stories about cops saving lives because there's no outrage. Covering it doesn't make money.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

"Of course you'll focus on all the times I murdered people over the times I didn't murder anyone!"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Way too many police officers in the US are prone to escalating situations. There's a reason "Suicide by cop" is a thing, here.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Then by all means, stand by and watch someone harm themselves for sure instead.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's a false dichotomy. We have suicide prevention services that connect you to people trained for this *exact* type of situation.
