That's the type of pilot I love. Or anyone who has control of where I'm going.

"Imma break it down. Someone fucked up. It's an easy fix but will take too long. I don't like this either."

I've been there, my guy.

I don’t remember a time when air Canada could provide bilingual personnel as dictate by law.

This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then - explode.

Did he say EXPLODE?!

Air Canada continues to be an unappealing and disappointing air line with fools for management. I believe their motto is "We're not happy until you're not happy"

The Dahs and Deres instead of the The and There are a pretty good giveaway for Quebecois. Throwing in a Tabernac! and a Mon Dieu would have really confirmed.

It's what happens when there's no real competition.

They are still better than WestJet

They changed it in 2006, the old motto was putting off too many people:

Started flying Porter instead and im never looking back. Lot better service, only two seats so no cursed middle seat, and free wifi.

Have taken Porter 5-6 times, even when massively delayed, they went above and beyond to take care of the passengers

Great airline, especially for domestic flights. Just limited in their flight routes outside of Canada

Man Porter has never disappointed me.

Is he French Canadian? I am trying to place his accent. (which I am horribly bad at) Second guess is a Newfie. (totally different accents)

He's talking way too slow to be any kind of Newfie.

He's Quebecois

Yeah, Quebecois. Newfie is like Quebecois mixed with Irish. Some are subtle sounding, some are very very not. 😂

Uh...no. Newfoundland accent is heavily Irish. In fact, there are Irish people who have been shocked how alike they sound.

Franco-Ontariens sound very similar too, hard to tell without hearing him speaking fluently in french first.

"Newfie is like Quebecois mixed Irish" are words that will get you pummeled from St John's to Badger and back. Maybe you're thinking of parts of Labrador. Newfoundlanders sound more or less like parts of Ireland. But even within Newfoundland you'll find that accents, like experiences, will vary. Regardless, they are a grand people and I count many of them among my buddies and friends.

Having lived in Newfoundland for a number of years, I stand by exactly what I said. Y'all may not be able to hear it, but everyone else does.

No. No one else does, my friend. Just you.
