This is a sad story..short too

Primrose walked across the room listening for the door to open. Her paw made no sound sound as she exited the kitchen and living room into the hallway. She heard a noise and her ear turned towards it. Primrose stepped down the steps towards the door. The door opened and she shot out, passed the humans into the entryway. She only whisked for fresh air. She hadn't see her kits in a while either... She strode out of the doggy door and walked outside into the cold day. The sun was shining, the air fresh. She raised her nose to take in the scents. The snow crunched under her paws as she walked further away from the safety of the house. Then a white shadow barrelled into her. Primrose felt herself being hoisted off the ground by her scruff and tossed around. She caught a glimpse of her attacker, only a glimpse. It was Bear. He was still a puppy, but no yet an adult. The dangerous age. Primrose tried to lash out but couldn't. She felt her body go limp as she was flung into the trees.

When the humans found Primrose she was still alive. She was so badly hurt that she had to be put down. Letting the dogs have her? No. too cruel. The male human took the 22, away from from his kids, and his wife and took the shot, giving mercy to Primroses soul. The shot rang out and echoed off the trees, the shop, the house, the building, the silos, and it sounded like a beautiful song.
