Shoot 'Em Up

2007
Clive Owen, Paul Giamatti, Monica Bellucci

When Clive Owen finds a baby, he is sent on a wild game of cat-and-mouse to get the baby to safey, despite Paul Giamatti's attempts to kill the baby. This over-the-top, John-Woo style movie has little plot, a whole lot of action, and is a great movie for when you want something fun, not too serious and sometimes just plain wacky!

The Spirit

2008
Gabriel Macht, Eva Medes, Sarah Paulson, Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson as The Octopus

When a Central City cop's life is ended, he wakes up with amazing powers, and vows to keep his city safe. But The Octopus has other plans for Central City. This film is straight off the comic's pages, with the same enhanced-color look that made Sin City a hit. A great choice for when you want to see an over-the-top comic villain take on a similarly over-the-top hero with hilarious results!

Stranger than Fiction

2007
Will Ferrell, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Dustin Hoffman, Queen Latifah and Emma Thompson

When boring-as-dirt Harold Crick wakes up one morning to hear a mysterious voice narrating his life, he must discover who she is before his untimely, inevitable end arrives. Personally, I'm not a fan of Will Ferrell, but I love this film, even his performance. This is a quieter, enjoyable film about becoming more than you are when facing your own mortality.

The Terminal

2004
Tom Hanks, Catherine Zeta-Jones

While flying to America from his home country, Viktor Navorski finds out that his country has been overthrown and he can not leave the airport. Tom Hanks delivers again on this quiet film about fulfilling a promise, and along the way, making friends, getting a job, finding romance and discovering America itself. A perfect film for a quiet night with the one you love, or for those feeling homesick and trapped.

Inside Man

2006
Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Jodie Foster

When a criminal mastermind (Clive) operates the perfect bank robbery, a determined detective (Denzel) must find a way to defuse the situation before it all goes bad. You've never quite seen a heist film like this before! Spike Lee directs this amazing work that shows that you can't always trust what you think!

Planet Terror

2007
Rose McGowan, Freddy Rodriguez, Michael Biehn, Jeff Fahey, Josh Prolin and Marley Shelton

Anything I say about the "plot" of the film wouldn't do it justice. Created in the grand old style of the 1970's Grindhouse films, Planet Terror pits Doctors, nurses, marines and one very talented stripper against each other and a horde of Zombies in this amazing Zombie apocalypse film! For when when just want to laugh at the hilarity that makes up this film, this is for you!

Down Periscope

2003
Kelsey Grammer, Lauren Holly, Rob Schneider, Harry Dean Stanton, Bruce Dern and Rip Torn

When the Navy's worst-performing skipper asks for his own nuclear submarine, he's given a 50-year-old diesel sub, a crew of misfits and the job of an enemy sub in a series of war-games. This hilarious comedy is sure to bring a smile to your face as Kelsey Grammer takes on the US Navy in order to get his dream boat.

The Island

2005
Ewan McGregor, Scarlett Johansson

Living in a futuristic world where a deadly disease has ravaged the world, Ewan and Scarlett are among a small group of survivors, all wanting to make their way to The Island, the last habital place on Earth. But their world is shocked, when they discover that they aren't really the survivors, but clones of rich and famous people. Can they escape a near-certain death and find a way to live their own lives? This action-packed sci-fi adventure by Michael Bay is a fun journey through a time in our not-too-distant future.

Lord of War

2005
Nicolas Cage, Jared Leto and Ethan Hawke

When Yuri Orlov discovers his talent for illegal arms dealing, he quickly reaches the top his trade, using his skill and quick wits, all the while being dogged by an incorruptible Interpol agent. This shocking film will let you see what arm dealing is really like, close-up.

Shoot Em Up was atrocious.

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Michael Bay just has to ruin everything....he's the dreams murdererrrrr

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lord of War was sold as an action comedy. It was not. It was actually one of Cage's better films. Check it out.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can you please stop calling critically acclaimed movies "underrated"?

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sh0ot 'em up is the most ridiculous of movies...which is what makes it such fun. Anyone have a carrot?

12 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

I love it. I'm a big fan of movies where shit gets blown up, destroyed, people are killed, car chases, etc.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Mmmm... Lucky Number Slevin?? Anyone?

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Inside Man is actually one of my favourite movies

12 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

I always tried to get my friends to watch it, but they never did. Saddest part of my life.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought shoot em up was dumb...the character mocks the 2nd amendment yet uses firearms throughout the film...stupid.

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

*shots fired* ..literally.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Saw the spirit in theaters. Black lady yelled hell nah and walked out when Sam Jackson wore the ss outfit. I loved it.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm so confused. I want to upvote this post for Lord Of War, but I also want to downvote for Shoot Em Up. Worst. Movie. Ever!

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

1st time I watched shoot em up I loved it, years later I tried again & only lasted 15 mins ... Not worth th waste of time

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shoot 'em Up and The Spirit are friggin awful. I'm down with the rest.

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Thanks for spoiling the absolute shit out of The Island

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Inside Man is actually one of my favourite movies

11 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 0

I feel like "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang" is missing from this list.

12 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 3

definitely.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes!

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That will fall under the tile of "underrated" IMO.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lord of War is probably the last good movie Cage was in.

love love LOVE Shoot 'Em Up! over-the-top violence is so fun when it's done right!

12 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

All the actors play it straight-faced in order to make it funny and over the top. It's perfect.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*slurping drink*....aaaaah. because of that movie I always do that to annoy people.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"You know what I hate?"

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think his use of carrots as a weapon is borderline genius. That and the finger bullets at the end.

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Shoot Em Up is AMAZING. I remember pausing it so i could grab more people to experience the gloriousness with me

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

The Spirit? Really? Credibility lost!

12 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 4

yeah and he's not a fan of Will Ferrell. More cred lost

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Spirit is total garbáge.

12 years ago | Likes 99 Dislikes 13

agreed and the island is questionable at best...

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wait, wait, wait. The accent on the a says fancy. "Excusez moi Monsieur, your shoes are inadequate for our garbáge. Go home and change."

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Stranger Than Fiction was a really good movie. Another movie like it that's worth seeing is Punch Drunk Love.

12 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Speaking from personal experience, "Lord of War" was absolutely brilliant.

12 years ago | Likes 112 Dislikes 5

My new TV with no cable box got other peoples PPV. Switched from Next to Lord of War. I didn't notice for 30 minutes. Nick Cage Movies.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I loved it.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well if you happen to have any .22LR laying around we can come to terms...

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The Spirit is not underrated. It's very much overrated, and I have heard nothing but bad things about it.

12 years ago | Likes 102 Dislikes 8

"He thinks he's underrated, BITCH NOBODY RATES YOU!"

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not even "so bad it's good." It's just bad. Really, really freaking bad.

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

How is it overrated if you only heard bad things about it? The movie is just bad

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't say it's overrated, people say it sucks balls, and guess what; it sucks balls, it is perfectly rated as fucking terrible.

12 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

The joke is, if all I have heard about it is bad, but it's still classed as overrated, it means it is so bad, words can't describe it.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you've only heard bad things about it, how can it be overrated?

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought the Island was terrible. Also the Terminal isn't really underrated

12 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 7

Hey, don't you talk about a Ewan McGregor movie that way! But seriously, I thought it was an excellent movie. To each his own I guess!

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

lol, i thought it was decent, but i also really want to ladybone ewan mcgregor, sooo..

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The island was ripped off from a movie "Parts: The Clonus Horror". The director of Parts didnt find out until MST3K featured it. he sued.

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Actually, it was based off the old legend "The Lottery" they just made it all futuristic

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

planet terror was not a good movie.

12 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 13

It was weird. And didn't like it because the dog died.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Really? I thought it was very entertaining, like most of Rodriguez's movies. It pretty much does what it sets out to do perfectly.

12 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

El Wray will hunt you down.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Those type of movies (Grindhouse) is something you either like or hate from my experience...

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

guess you're right. i like trashy movies but this was too much somehow.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ooh, Stranger than Fiction. The only Will Ferrell movie I like.

12 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

You just lost your opinion card.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'M SUPER EXCITED AND I'M GOING TO YELL ABOUT IT AND ACT LIKE AN IDIOT! I'M SO FUNNY! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But he does it so well.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It is easily his best performance ever.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pan's Labyrinth.

12 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 14

Yes theres something about seeing a guys face getting pounded in with a wine bottle that makes me thing its a "fun to watch" movie.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

excellent call there, should be on that list

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

How would a movie that won 3 Oscars be considered underrated?

12 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

i actually pirated ( yeah sue me ) that movie couple of days ago. i should really watch it

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Arr' matey! I hope you brought some rum.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're gonna love the wine bottle scene!

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I saw it at the teather with my parents. We weren't expecting that scene.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

bought this movie bootleg in Mex. I enjoyed it so much, I bought it.......at Ross. Cause it was cheap. I hope you enjoy it.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

did you pirate it because you are really fucking bored?

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Scarlett Johansson insisted on going topless in The Island, but Michael Bay wouldn't allow it.

12 years ago | Likes 402 Dislikes 8

She probably isn't your biggest fan either, Ohmyrowling.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Likely. She's probably composing my hate mail right now.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The Island got done for plagiarizing "Parts: A Clonus Horror", which was mocked on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Island is a straight up copy of Parts: The Clonus Horror. Just saying.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

and this fact is why I will never watch that movie again.

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

More like "MIchael Gay". AMIRIGHT?

12 years ago | Likes 421 Dislikes 5

You're right!

12 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

Pi fingers

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I believe its because he wanted to keep it PG-13, not Rated R

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Imgur campaign to root him out of his hole and have him apologise to the world on television?

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

there is a special place in hell for those kind of people

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Didn't whatsherface argue about doing that for Transformers?

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like I needed another reason to think Michael Bay was a tool.

12 years ago | Likes 195 Dislikes 4

Maybe if her bra exploded firt, maybe then he would allow it?

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even more reason to hate that asshole.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

And now I really hate Michael Bay.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

WHY

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i actually dont beleive that...odd.

12 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I really liked the island, and this would have made it even better. :(

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't worry people. She goes FULL nude in her next next movie. Not the one where shes all powerful. I believe they have already been leaked.

12 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

what movie are you talking about?

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What movie!

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Under the Skin, according the other comments.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Good Guy Google:

12 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

NSFW

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The movie is called "Under the Skin" for those wondering.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was actually for a movie that's already out, not Lucy. It's called Under The Skin, and there are totes images.

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Any links or info? ....asking for a friend, obviously.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sometimes I believe Michael Bay does everything in his power to be hated.

12 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 2

The TMNT movie he is doing right now confirms that.

12 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

He is producing it not directing. Although him producing it is why its being made so he is still a dick for it.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

God, I cringe so hard every time I see the trailer. It hurts to see their faces.

12 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I cringe away from them too.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Spirit was probably the worst film ever made. Ever.

12 years ago | Likes 315 Dislikes 31

Agreed, in order it goes 1. The Spirit. 2. Donnie Darko. 3. Patch Adams

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 13

Did you just donnie darko...

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

came here to say this, the only film that has ever made me fall asleep inside a cinema, atrocious.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Manos: Yhe hands of fate...

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hahaha try gigli

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I can't judge as on every attempt to watch said movie I've fallen asleep twenty minutes in.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You've obviously never had to sit through "Down Periscope"

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 12

Srs ?

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seriously, that movie was horrible

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I made the mistake of seeing it in theaters. It seems like they were trying for "So bad it's good" and failed miserably.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

My wife and I tried to watch it and stopped it about an hour in. We kept telling ourselves, "It HAS to get better !" It did not.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Last Airbender movie.

12 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Birdemic: Shock and Terror, and let's not forget it's somehow even worse sequel Birdemic 2: The Resurrection.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There is no film I have ever seen has come close to the level of awful that film was. I have seen Barbie films with more substance.

12 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

It was the first, though sadly not the last, movie I walked out of.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I.was just about to say. I can't believe I saw that movie in theaters. Good Lord what a steaming pile of shit

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

But toilets are ALWAYS funny!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nell

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I took my brother to see it. He was 13, even he knew it was shit.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

... twilight

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I have yet to see any of them, thankfully ;)

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Stop taking camp movies seriously and you might enjoy it.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Lest we forget, The Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas?

12 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but with The Spirit you think you're getting into something that could be good. You don't see TF:VRV w high expectations, right?

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

An excellent point. Like so many others, I thought The Spirit was going to be Sin City-esque. I wish I could unsee it.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You took it way too seriously.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

the room, birdemic, God's not Dead, Green lantern. Need I go on?

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

God's not dead should be on the worst movie list for all time worsts.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it was one of the worst, most racist, bigotted movies i've ever seen. I only saw it because it was the second movie of a double feature :3

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yep, bought it on blu-ray, i thought it was like sin city. well it is, sin city full of shit and samuel l jackson in a SS uniform.

12 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Something something eggs on my face ?

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have you heard of Avatar the Last Airbender by M. Night shamalamadingdong?

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I've vaguely heard of it somewhere, but never seen it. Looked like a bad anime ?

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Strangeland. Dee Snyder. Enough said.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was literally the worst literature-related film ever made.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Thank you for pointing this out, sir.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a great comedy, I mean Nazi Samuel L. Jackson melting a kitty? Hilarity!

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Might I direct you to 'The Room'.

12 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 2

MELANCHOLIA, SUSPIRIA, AND SPRING BREAKERS

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can it really be worse ? The Spirit nearly made me question humanity.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

YOU'RE TEARING ME AH-PART PYROBOB4!!

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Oh Hi Danny!

12 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

But The Spirit was commercially released. At least The Room falls into indie limbo.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At least The Room is so-bad-it's-good, The Spirit is just so-bad-it's-terrible, it is unbearably atrocious.

12 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

Sorry... Devil's rejects is the worst ever!

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Are you crazy? The Devil's Rejects is excellent!

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nothing is worse than Birdemic. I tried to watch it for kicks, but I fell asleep.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

'Starring Eva Mendes ' is a dead giveaway for s shitty movie.

12 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

Except Training Day and We Own the Night.

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Oh right. My mind must have completely erased her presence from those movies.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No one blames you for that.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

And Hitch!

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Meh hitch was alright at best, kinda just goes through the movie as is.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I liked it, but I guess i'm just a major sucker for Will Smith.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Never seen it, googled it on imdb, it says people how liked this liked DareDevil and Batman Forever. Big warning sign right there.

12 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

Daredevil (the director's cut) is waaaaaay better in comparison to The Spirit >:(

12 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Holy crap, I'd forgotten about Daredevil. Not as bad as The Spirit, but daaaaaaamnnnn...

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey I'm a picky movie lover, but Batman Forever has a warm place in my heart because I was like 8 when it came out.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ditto. I don't even mind Batman and Robin if you stop thinking it needs to be gritty and is just lighthearted, golden age fun.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Eeeehhh I do disagree about that. Batman & Robin was pure garbage.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Don't get me wrong, it is not a good film, BUT at least it has its moments. Bat nipples aside, it's still not as bad as the Spirit.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Spirit is the only movie I have ever walked out of in the theatre.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fortunately, we weren't at the cinema, but we couldn't finish it either. Urgh.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i liked it.

12 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 4

I understand the criticism about the film, but I thought it was fun to watch, too!

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Me too. Was it incredibly stupid? Yes. But was it also hilariously weird and enjoyable almost the whole way through? Also yes.

12 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Are... are you sure ? Have you had any trauma to the head in the recent past ? Anything that might explain this feeling ?

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 10

I appreciate art. And this film was fucking artful. It had a very unique weird serious visualisation of comic-esque slapstick, i liket that

12 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

It was visually interesting. For even better presentation and incredible cinematography on top, see 300.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

love that one too. But only bc one made it better entertaining, doesn't mean i can't appreciate and like another...

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didnt like it much but i understand what you are saying

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

you dont know how much it means to me, to have at least 2 points on that comment, bc this is a serious unpopular opinion i think..

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry, "Ghost Rider" begs to differ.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'd place Ghost Rider just above The Spirit. It was a terrible film, but it wasn't so bad as to make you think it was a parody.

12 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If the first one wasn't, the second one definitely was.

12 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really? Because the end scene with the "Fighting fire with fire line" seemed like a terrible parody to me.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was bad, there's no argument there.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
