Beautiful wonderful masks!

If only I could more easily hide my red hair. Then no one would recognize me.

I hate social interactions. Masks reduce the amount I need to talk to strangers. Also, cold weather + mask = warm face.

I hates wearing it because it make my beard itches like mad sometimes, but I still wear it because that what heroes do

I can move my lips to the music I'm listening to without feeling self conscious any more. I love it.

Got the Under Armor one. A tad expensive but the best way and look to live the Bane fantasy on the daily.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Men don’t tell me to “smile” it’s great

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I totally agree, masks are a social anxiety helper. Don’t have to acknowledge anyone, I’m gonna miss it tbh

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Put on sunglasses, too. You’re basically invisible

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

AND for us Canadians it helps keep your face just a little bit warmer when you walk out of a store to your car ??

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Except some of us like red hair.....-goes back the shadows-

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I like my hair, I just don’t like being recognized by it.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I can now shave only every three days and no one notices! Most of my acne is covered, My inappropriate smiles are hidden. I love masks!

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

If I don't shave every day, my whiskers act like hooks. Every time I talk or open my mouth, my mask heads for my chin :( Back to the beard

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My teeth are super messed up, wearing a mask has made me feel soo much more comfortable in public, and it keeps my chin warm

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There’s always a hijab or some other head wrap or hat to hide your hair too.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It’s probably better than a hoody and sunglasses.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yea i like wearing the mask cuz its easier to word out "bitch" to someone infront of u without them knowing. Hah

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I kind of like it also, I can and have managed to not be recognised by people, means I can just get on with shit and forget about idle chat

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

THIS!!! I’ve managed to avoid family in public lolololololololololol

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Love the masks. Always get more money from the bank teller for some reason.

5 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

I did have to go into a bank in May, it felt super weird wearing a mask.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Imagine people got shoot before for just entering a bank with a mask.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like masks, too. I work around a lot of cigarette smoke, and the masks have helped reduce the secondhand I breathe. I want them to stay.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Where do you work where you’re surrounded by cigarette smoke? I thought it was illegal everywhere.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I deal cards in a casino

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Doesn't bother me so much but other than i use my smile a lot and you can't see it anymore

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Get into the habit of smiling in such a way that it moves your mask slightly. Most people will get it

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think my squinty eyes gives me away hahah

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The eyes are where the smile shows for sure. I always found it a good way to tell how sincere a smile way.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think they're cool, plus, it's getting cold round here, they keep your face warm

5 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

^ this so much. Especially when riding a bike in cold windy weather.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It made me less uncomfortable when I had to buy plan b

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Makes it easier to ignore the random people you went to high school with. They take the double take and bam! Gone!

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

It's brought me one step closer to the full helmet wearing society I desire

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Hazmat society ?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

asthmatic here. the mask actually really helps me with allergies and the cold humid weather. both are big triggers for me

5 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Bro yeah! The cold air fucks my lungs up big time, and hiking over the spring/summer was amazing with allergy protection.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I noticed that it helped with allergies as well

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't have to shave regularly. I do intermittent fasting and have bad breath when stomach is empty. No more worries about that.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Fuck. Whatever. Others. Think. I dyed my hair purple two weeks ago on a whim. Im a 39 year old male. Straight. Middle fingers to everyone.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

You rock!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok, but what does that have to do with masks?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Think it’s more in reference to OP’s Red hair part of the comment than masks

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ok, but what does that have to do with middle fingers to everyone?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes! My mask swaddles me. I love it. Add sunglasses and a beanie and you’re incognito.

5 years ago | Likes 362 Dislikes 1

Mine keeps me warm at work :)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This plus my bicycle helmet makes me feel like a knight in armor at times.

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

I one time drew a scifi HUD on some clear tape over my glasses when I was a kid. couldn't see but I sure felt "cool" so I get it!

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Don't give me ideas! I still got some yellow bicycle glasses lying around, that I never could get myself to wear.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

does the opposite for me. stresses me the hell out but i still wear it.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I LOVE MASKS - but have had to learn to read people by eye squints/furrowed brows

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Doesn't work for me, nothing hides my 7 pounds of pink hair

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I too have a similar problem, I have cyber peacock coloured hair - everyone still knows its me buying that litre of gin in my small town ?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I stopped wearing makeup due to masks, my face has broken out more and has more oil, wtf.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think there are products for that, you might be having an allergic reaction

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But I will 100% continue, probably even after! Kind of like my face being hidden from people I may know.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I 100% recommended going back to old school noxzema. My chin was breaking out like crazy, then I decided to try that out again and BAM!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish it helped my anxiety. It makes me feel more trapped personally. Still wear it, just looking forward to not needing to any more.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I think of it more like a security blanket.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Think about how much less you’re being stared at, though. The breathing thing is in your head, but the no-staring is real. I looooove how../

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Much less often random people talk to me, especially if I’m somewhere I can wear sunglasses as well. Pop on a hat and everyone can fuck off.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No need to smile anymore!

5 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 4

Lol, but that makes me smile

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wonder how those people who tell people 'you'd look prettier if you smiled' have been doing this year?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I actually find I’m smiling BIGGER. when the cashier hands me my bags, I have to smile so big it hits my eyes; I swear it makes me happier

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It should do real smiles make you release hormones that make you feel happier, which is why smiling is great for your mental health :)

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Buy one of those masks with a photo of you smiling on it, never have to smile again!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can talk to myself and no one can tell, it’s my anxiety

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hell yeah, I've been loving that aspect specifically

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only thing is though, I smile knowing damn well no one can see me, I’m like, dammit

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My skin has been really bad after wearing masks all day. Still going to wear one because I'm not a freedom bitch.

5 years ago | Likes 784 Dislikes 12

What's helped me is the griminess I feel from wearing a mask all day has motivated me to wash my face regularly at night.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anti acne moisturiser helps keep the bacteria at bay for me x

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You are a freedom bitch because you believe in people's freedom to live.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same and same

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mine too. My acne left in college and the maskne is back with a vengeance.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same, I break out a lot using masks. Feels like revisiting my teenage years. Still I wear one every time I go out :)

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel your pain

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Word on the street is the silk ones are better for your skin.... I just ordered some

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I bought silk pillowcases recently and my skin cleared up drastically. I highly recommend silk

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I prefer my freedom thanks.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

/s so I don't get downvoted.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Ugh, that super sucks.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same. Big acne spike but I just upped the medicine I used and now the inside of my mask is bleached

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How do masks make your skin bad?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Constant moisture from breathing create a cool environment for bacteria

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same, plus while wearing glasses i get extra heat build up and my eyes are basically sweating all day.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If the nose part fits properly, that's less of a problem. I didn't notice it until I changed brands of masks, fit makes a huge difference.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's called Maskne. Look up Under The Mask's brand of Maskne soothing spray.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have you tried one made of silk?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

my OCD is to pick at skin imperfections, no matter how small, present during stress, more stress, more picking. I usually have scars all¹

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

over my face (within beard line), which gives me bad anxiety about being seen by other people, increasing stress, picking, so on. But the²

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

damndest thing, I wear a neck gaiter for 9 months, stress gone, imperfections ignored, almost no scars left. so positive note for my 2020.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Same. 9 hours a day 5 days a week. Not including the off hours when I need to go out somewhere for stuff. My skin is horrible. But I wear it

5 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 1

Also an all day mask wearer. I swap masks for a clean one halfway through the day, plus I use a cleansing toner when I make the swap.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yea my skin is super unhappy, still wearing them

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Then it's too tight, try to adjust it and have ones with longer straps

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

The occlusion of a hot and wet (from talking/sweating) environment is what often causes it. Wearing a mask for an entire shift will do that.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I wear a mask all day as well since my mother is immune challenged

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's true too, just shared how I resolved my problem...

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Silk mask and a couple drops of tee tree oil when you was them

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have 8 masks. 1 for each day. And then 1 to wear while others are being washed and dried. Cycle and repeat. No bad skin problems.

5 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Washing them every day really helps, I have enough for every day of the week and then wash them in the sink and set them to dry over night.

5 years ago | Likes 136 Dislikes 1

@mrinternationalworldwide: "freedom bitch" is not going to persuade people. i tell them i wear a mask FOR freedom, so the gov doesn't shut

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I thought it's 4 hours max per mask. Then they're saturated in humidity and inefficient. + it's bacteria culture. Wash them hot enough >

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

not only for covid (soap is enough) but also for all the other microbes and virus etc.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

That’s fair but for where I live one mask a day has been fine. But I won’t stop anyone from using 2 a day

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Try these. They help a lot!! 3D Bracket for Face Mask 10PCS... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FRD28K9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

See, now THOSE look uncomfortable.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

They aren't.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They’re not ideal but they’re an improvement. I’ve found they don’t attach to my mask well. May need to adapt them

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, I sew them inside my cloth masks, SO much more comfortable and breathable. Can go through washing machine.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Asking because I want some.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is the plastic hard? Does it help the mask fit better against your face?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The plastic smooth and bendy and holds mask away from mouth which feels less smothering

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Admittedly I don’t wear one all day. Just for errands. Thank you for taking one for the team.

5 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I wear one (actually several) all day at the hospital I work at. I was really breaking out under the mask for the first couple of months.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Masks forced me to touch my face less, so my breakouts went to essentially zero

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I worked in a lab for a while. Double masks all day were the worst.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My skin seems to have adapted the higher humidity now.
