I've still got those CDs laying around somewhere, hmm.. I wonder how much the would be.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

rate it nostalgia/10

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Really liked the Warcraft RTS, but just couldn’t get into WoW. Likely because I was playing Galaxies and SOE already had me in their pocket

Take us back

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

YES! Had a lot of fun with the boys when they were teens and pre-teens playing against each other on our LAN.

Gaze upon the destruction you have wrought and the broken bodies of your enemies!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’d say about a 95

There better be a Soundblaster (TM) in that case, or it's a zero out of ten.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Power strip with lighted switches that was also a monitor stand. The omnipresent background hero.

I repaired mine so many times... Wish I had it

Your sound card works perfectly!

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I give this 66/66. I bet most of the commentors have no idea what the beige box with 66 written on it is.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I can hear ogre bloodlust.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

10/10, would halflife1, duke nukem, and doom2 again

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Redneck Rampage, Dark Forces, Warhammer-shadow of the horned rat.

I’m ready / I’m NOT ready.

Why is the tower on the desk? Shouldn't it be on the floor, so you can turn it on with your big toe?

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Because on the desk it doesn't get nearly as filthy as it would at floor level, and you avoid the carpet-generated static buildup.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I kept accidentally opening the cd-rom with my knee.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm flexible.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

11/10 would Pshhhkkkkkkrrrrkakingkakingkakingtshchchchchchchchcch*ding*ding*ding*... sorry that was my old modem.

4 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

Fun fact: there's still a small dedicated multiplayer community: forum.war2.ru (there's an English and an Russian side)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's also my ringtone. ;-)

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A cd-rom, a 3 1/2, and a 5 1/4?! I rate this rig way out of my price range. I would have killed for this, back in the day

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Had to buy a CD drive with my own money as a kid, because it was a luxury. Some of the best money I ever spent.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I give it a zug zug

Rated 2002/2022.

4 years ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 4

2002 we had wc3, and wow was only 2 years away. Pentium 3 era

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're thinking 1995.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Warcraft 3 released in 2002. This would've been a couple of years prior.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Tides of Darkness was '95, C&C was '95, not sure what the middle game is. This is likely a '94 computer in '96 or so.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yeah. Honestly, could still be later, considering that I was still using a computer like that in 2000 or so, but it screams 90s to me.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's the switches on the monitor stand. I pretty much never saw those after 2000.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was gonna guess the 90's

4 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

2002/2022 would be ~99%.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah. I'd give it more of a 1996 or 1997.

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Yea. Released in 95.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You're at least five years ahead of when that was current.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

The game could have been downloaded anytime after it came out. I based it on my own, apparently tragically out-of-date, rig. :)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

.... downloaded? Are you being serious right now? A computer with a 66htz display on it won't download anything bigger than the Doom demo.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And that'll take it 4 hours

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Is it not still downloading even if from a CD?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I remember downloading the Warcraft 2 demo on a computer at my dad’s printshop. Took a few hours and I was so pumped the whole time.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Id like to rate it as "very familiar." Pre WoW warcraft games were so much fun.

4 years ago | Likes 474 Dislikes 1

More work?

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Right-o!

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Not as much fun as WoW used to be though.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I'm sure it just depends on age. WoW never REALLY did it for me, but WC1 and WC2 took me to another world. WC3 & WoW didn't even feel like

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the same universe. It was like going from Star Wars to Start Trek. Both good, but not necessarily for the same audience.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yesh me lord

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I love wc3. Or did, until the remake killed itself and classic :(

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm so mad they butchered Reforged

Blacksheepwall

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is there any way to play this now??

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You can play on War2.ru.. Be warned - the folks there never stopped playing and are VERY good :(

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

GOG - Good Old Games is loaded with old treasures including Warcraft I and II - it’s cheap too!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Awesome! Thank you!!!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Frozen Throne was the peak of Blizzard.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

False. The peak was the animated trailer for war 3 that I played over and over waiting for game release cause it was hype and epic af
