Dont litter

Mar 6, 2018 3:07 PM

This no litter sign

Keep a grocery bag in your car for trash. Leave things in your pockets until you find a trash can. Even cigarette butts. They sell cupholder ashtrays so you dont have to throw your butts on the ground. Cool.

Fp edit: thanks for spreadin the word. I hope we all do our part to make things better. 1st fp post so i guess just send me whatever.

Fuck Duke energy they are god damn scammers and they are trying to get local legislate to raise prices further

I teach my kids to pick up trash when they're outside. They don't have to pick up everything, just a few bits once in a while. It helps.

Is the same Duke energy that spilled fucking shittons of coal ask into North Carolina river? Yeah - fuckk those guys!!!

Most cigarette smokers: “The World Is My Ashtray”

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From Duke Energy, a company that regularly litters and pollutes the environment. How ironic.

8 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 1

Why aren't cig butts biodegradable yet?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually I roll the cherry off a cigarette and throw the butt in my back pocket.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It would be nice to know what the littering people think. I take garbage bag with me even when i go drink booze in a park.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Once in hey traffic I took note of what things were most littered. Nips. Nips everywhere.Terrifying. I’ve driven differently ever since.

Hwy*

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My pockets are full of trash and i prefer to keep it that way. There are plenty of trash cans around.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The USA has become far to politically correct to let this fly. Someone's feelings could be hurt! The humanity!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Lol now people will get offended at your comment about how they get offended about things that really only offend morons.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cigarette butts are the worst. Smokers don’t seem to see them as trash.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Every day I see people throwing cigarettes out of car windows. I just want to shoot out their tires.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Duke Energy sponsoring that is the funny part

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

by Duke Energy, one of the biggest polluters out there : http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-duke-energy-coal-ash-20150514-story.html

LEAVE NO TRACE

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I keep a roll of dogpoop bags in my bag to wrap up garbage I don't want directly in my pocket until I find a bin.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Who downvotes a "don't litter" post?.....I found the ones who litter, apparently.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I am 48. I work with people older than me who cannot put sugar in their tea without spilling it all over the counter.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Would be nice if Duke Energy followed the same philosophy. Ash pits, no one will notice!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Always keep a litter bag in your car. It doesn't take up much room, and if it gets full, you can just throw it out the window" Steve Martin

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

wait. Duke energy? Coal-Ash-Pits Duke Energy?

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yes, Duke Energy; the same company that spilled 30,000 tons of coal ash into the Dan River

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It amazes me in 2018 people are still littering...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have a friend who has no problem littering and I told him the other month "don't throw that empty cup out of my car window" he just 1/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

/1 grinned and threw it out and said "oh no how did that happen" so I stopped my fucking car told him to get the fuck out and let him 2/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

/2 walk for a good ten minutes before I picked him back up and told him "don't pull that shit again" even disregarding littering is a 3/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

/3 dick move last I checked the driver is responsible for his passengers actions

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is there no interest in making cigarette butts that break down?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They are biodegradable. However, requires special conditions. For instance, about 5 years exposed to UVs.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are, but they are only available online and only for rolling manually.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Smoke straights.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. Fuck that. Companies shouldn't have to. Stop throwing them out the damn window.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

My reply above was meant for you. Don't know how it got posted up there.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

...Where do you think they go when they are thrown away?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Landfills?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a smoker I usually just stick the butts in my back pocket until I find a trash can.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Sounds like something the Big Lebowski would do

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Dude would definitely save his roaches...I don't think the Big Lebowski could easily reach his back pocket without Brandt's help.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a non-smoker, we really appreciate that. People who fling 'em out car windows and hit my car are up there on my Shitty McShitpeople list.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I once was on a country road, and threw my apple core into the grass (bio degradable) but didn’t see the car coming. It splattered all over

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And lo, a loud “what the hell, man” rang out across the countryside

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Duke energy gfy

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 3

Yay good for them. I work for a power line company subcontracted to Duke

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Can't decide if that's "good for you" or "go fuck yourself"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well they broke the crystal river nuclear reactor which had been fine for a long ass time before them so thats why i dont like them

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

They also had a pipe burst in NC that spilled tons of coal ash into the Dan River & then raised rates to cover the fines they were assessed

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I was just in Japan. There are hardly any trash cans anywhere, and yet it's immaculate. It's like they all agreed to not be lazy dicks.

8 years ago | Likes 351 Dislikes 0

well we won the war, we can do whatever we want. ha.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

That's especially impressive considering the population density. That's why I like countries that emphasize respect.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

We need to teach them entitlement, a lack of self awareness and disregard for other people!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Exactly like how the USA did in the 50s.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah it is crazy. You pretty much have to expect that anything you take away from a convenience store or restaurant is coming home with you.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's because they raise their kids to be a part of society rather than to be an individual.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Probably also has a lot to do with the fact that you can walk around at night without any fear of getting attacked.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If there's no litter around you, you're far less likely to litter yourself.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It's just in the big cities they don't have bins everywhere, and it's a recent thing to do with terrorism. It's so fucken annoying though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are actually a ton of trash cans. You just had to learn how those crafty fucks hide them.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Cans & Bottles to bins by vending machines & bring your own trash bag dispose of at department stores or subway stations (bathrooms mainly)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I found legit trash cans everywhere. They are usually connected to the recycle bins.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Heard when anthrax scares were big they had one centered around a garbage can; removed them all, never put'em back, people were okay with it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ninja, it's always Ninja.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Janitor ninjas? Cleaning in the shadows.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This was my experience in Japan also.

8 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

The message to not litter is good, but the sign is annoying as fuck

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

It's truly impressive. There are close to 40 million people around Tokyo, not making a mess.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Man do I miss Japan. There for three years and I've been away for a year now. Want to go back so bad.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Navy/Marines? My brother wanted to get stationed there and didn't get it.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I was at Yokota and hoping I can get back there.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The best one, Air Force. Haha.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

I read on Imgur one time that they do not employ janitors in elementary schools, but the kids clean up after themselves. Idk if that is true

8 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

It's true and it shows in the schools. They are filthy.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's true. Source: School transfer

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We have that in the Philippines public school but fuuuuuuuck. The streets are still dirty

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not even to clean up muddy floors or clean the toilets?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is(:

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I read it on imgur 3 times, so it must be true!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I believe they do have janitos but kids will clean their own class rooms after school.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I worked there. The kids clean up every day. The have janitors for deep cleaning, floor waxing etc

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Manga and anime have led me to believe that is the norm, yes

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

True for school in the Philippines too. We clean our own classrooms. And once or twice a year, we spend an entire school day cleaning.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oplan: Classroom Bayanihan!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had a different experience when I went to school in the Philippines unfortunately, a lot littering occured.
