Once again Trumpism feels like a parody made real. When we (US) attacked Iraq there was a lot of reasons to think it was actually about seizing the oil. But at least Bush put some effort into hiding it. Technically Trump is saying this is about drugs and international crimes, but doesn't bother explaining why that requires blowing up small boats and stealing big boats.

If I was Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, or any of the myriad other nations that physically store their gold in the United States, I would do everything in my power to bring that gold home today after this act of piracy. This was a tanker that was under sanction from years back for being part of Russia/Irans fleet that would supply Iranian oil to terrorists. Thats a thing we knew, the guy who owns all of this (the one being hurt here) is a Russian Oligarch. The ship has changed a lot but its the same one thats been used to spread bunch of wicked shit at the behest of Putins minions. So this isn't some evil attack on Venezuela in any sense.

So I did some digging and the end result is this... this is an attack on Putin and Iran.
