Stay strong sister. ❤ You're worth it!

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I feel you bro. 13 years ending as we speak. Two doggos and they are coming with me. Wouldn't have it any other way. Stay strong brother.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dogs are better anyhow

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For sure!!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got my dog with the divorce. He asked for him later. I got debt and the dog when I left, he was not getting the dog. He's the best boy.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No worries. You only need Zeus.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My only friend is my cat, Luna. Honestly, I prefer animals as friends vs. humans. Let's be real here.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed. Animals are the best

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I left my boyfriend of 8 years...I asked if he wanted to keep any pets..he kept all of them.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ouch. I’m sorry :(

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's okay I couldn't bring any of them with me anyway, since I was technically homeless for about half a year, no place for a cat and dog.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aw. Breakups suck, but that poor pup. He lost one of his people and he doesn't know why. :(

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

yah, its sad.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I had the reverse... And I miss the dogs more then the relationship.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Same. I lost a true wonderdog.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where I live, a dog carries the name of the specific person who adopted it. If someone tries taking it, you can call the police because it's

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2) theft of personal property. Is this not common practice? Genuinely curious, because I'm confused by how often I see these posts.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

he looks like the most perfect dog ever

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What kind of dog is that? He looks like a really good dog.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Husky. Doesn’t look it, but he is.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it looks like he's got a little bit of collie mixed in there no?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He could honestly. The lady told us he is a husky. We’ve always said he was a husky. And always knew he wasn’t full blooded husky :P

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I invested 11.5 years. Then...Poof. Fml. At least he got to keep the dog. Cheers to you my friend.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I just left an abusive relationship and didn't get to keep the dog. trying to not be bitter... not working

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

:( I’m sorry

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aw thanks, it's been the hardest part of moving on. I'm in a much better mood than I was while posting, happy for you and your pupper ❤️

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m glad your mood has improved, and I wish you the best on your adventures!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Currently in a relationship. This is the kind of stuff that scares the crap out of me.

8 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

When my ex and I broke up, I let them keep the house, the car, and anything they wanted, as long as I got to keep our dogs. Worth it!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yah, id thought about it before, but never in depth. worked out well for me, maybe it will for you also one day (if you have to)

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Same

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

my dog is named Zeus as well!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wait, the dog has a jeep?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why would a dog have a Jeep?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Replace jeep with truck and dog with cat

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 11

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

/a/8TR4W you rang?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m pretty confident I’ll survive.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Just remember that Zeus has feelings too, and he may miss her even if you don't.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Understood 100%. She can visit if she wants.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Glad to hear it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You sound like a super reasonable dude

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

I try. He was her dog also. She is more than welcome to come see him and or borrow him for a day

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Give him the treats v

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is a rare victory. Cherish it my friend

8 years ago | Likes 369 Dislikes 3

This! My ex-fiance stole my cat >_<

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i lost a similar battle. treat that good boy right.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I am! I got lucky, Ida fought for him tooth and nail. Luckily I didn’t have to though

8 years ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 1

In my divorce I got the cat. Only thing I cared about. Enjoy your puppers!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did she just give him up to you?

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Eh, she said I could have him since I’m the one who does everything with him

8 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 1

You got extremely lucky and please give many belly rubs to that beautiful creature for me.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

At least she doesn't sound like a bitch, welcome back to single club OP

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

She isnt a bitch by any means. She was cool, it just wasnt working out and i didnt want to waste anymore of her or my own time

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

That's awesome, sounds like the breakup wasn't too ugly :)

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Notice no pics of the humans. It could have been very ugly.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oof. That’s a lot of invested time gone... glad you got to keep the dog

8 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 7

Damn broke up with mine on our 2nd anniversary

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sunk cost fallacy. To quote Shelby from Steel Magnolias, "I'd rather have 30 minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothin special"

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I'm still upset about the 1.5 years I invested into my last relationship...so glad it wasn't this long...I didn't get the dog though...

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Me too!!!!

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

"invested time" sounds so bitter. Maybe they had a great time together and split as friends.

8 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 2

How often does that actually happen though.. like really

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Read it somewhere that if you can be friends with your ex you never really loved them. My experience says this is true.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Maybe, or maybe you magically grow apart in the same ways and no one is hurt.. but that sounds very unlikely to me...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm that way too. It's like I spent all this time and money on building this structure, but the foundation wasn't solid and it crumbles.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Sunk cost fallacy. What is gone is gone and should not influence your decision making on what is right for you now and going forward.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When my friends break up with their SO's I just think of that too. "That is like.... A year lost!" Maybe that is why I will die alone. ????

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Shrug

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"investing time" ffs, who thinks like that even. Its just living life doing things. If you're enjoying it at the moment, that's what matters

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 5

Now that's smart person talking

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Social/Relationship psychologists...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's technically correct. Nothing is free as there is always an opportunity cost. Time is an investment that you hope to get a return 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

out of, most people just dress up the words so it sounds romantic

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have a friend who was with her boyfriend for ten years before he decided he was tired of her. Kinda fucked her up.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

Nope. Can't trust anything ever after thag.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Just recently left my GF of 7 years. Sometimes you can enjoy being with someone but find yourself unable to take the next step. Life is hard

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't think a "next" step is requisite to a successful, happy relationship.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is when that is what your partner desires after a long time together, and if you cannot give them that then what else is there to do?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, you must be fair to all parties: if you weren't interested in marriage (which is perfectly reasonable) you ought to have... (1)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

...made that clear from the beginning, or exceptionally near the beginning. That's not a conversation you back burner. (2)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did 11 years. Then she got tired of me.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ok. “Wife” is significantly different than “girlfriend”.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel like it wasn’t you she got tired of. It was waiting for you to make a commitment she got tired of... and everything else followed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

We were married for 4 of those 11 years.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would say being involved for eleven fucking years is pretty goddamn committed.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 of those years we were married. She told me she wanted to be with someone else. That she got tired of having me around.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Had your sex life gone to pot?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Congrats! You get to be his favourite human!

8 years ago | Likes 419 Dislikes 0

I've always wanted to see this in real life

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This gif? Just buy a boxer. That's how they do.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I always have been. Someone has to take him hiking and on jeep rides

8 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 0

If you're in Iowa, I have an Aussie named Murdoc and we'll be your friends!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dude, you have a dog and a Jeep. Life is good. There’s another girl who will recognize how awesome you are.

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

Thank you. Honestly. Life is pretty solid at this point.

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Let’s here about that Jeep though...
