FUCK. AUTO. SAVES. Especially the ones where you can't save the game manually. There are a few exceptions. Dark Souls first coming to mind.

+1 for sulfuras

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#1 100% a million times over. I'd go back to wondering wtf to do with pleasure.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is the first one of these "then and now" gaming bits I've seen that actually made me go, "why yes, that does seem to be the case." +1

DLC is dumb when done only for money grabs

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

8 hours to get hand of Rag? I wish.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This accounts for every game not from from software

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's no regular flaming hammer. That there is Sulpharas, hand of Ragnaros.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Haha 8 hours...hahah

Then: I had time for video games Now: I don't have time for video games

9 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 1

This, so much

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It helps to have no friends or sex life. I have tons of time for video games and anime, and I'm 29.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I'm 49, married with 2 kids, work full time, cook dinner just about every night and I still play video games every damn day!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

On that first point, this is increasingly becoming something that irritates me in modern games. Let me figure shit out. You don't need [1]

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If only we could go back, to the days when games were made for nerds by nerds, rather than made for the mass market by sleazy businessmen.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

"PRESS B TO BOMB HERE!!!" or some shit. [3]

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

to hold my hand. Give subtle hints if they're needed but don't just have a text pop-up when I get next to a cracked wall that says [2]

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then: $70? I better start saving money... Now: Is $5 not a bit much for these seven games?

9 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 1

I've seen Humble Bundle, on PC, I can get some games for pennies, but if I pay like, 12 bucks I get 4 more. This usually includes DLC.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

On PC, yeah. Console still has super high prices for recent games

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Steam puts recent games at market price too. Gta V is still $40

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True, but there are also sales to account for and a plethora of smaller developer games that are fantastic as well.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but those games aren't usually even available for console. Also, there are many developer games that are on console that cost <$10

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I adore Steam, but I fear that if they crumble I will lose my entire library.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Just imagine if Valve one day finds out all of their database backups are corrupted...

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

luckily, that's straight up impossible

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You'd think so, but I can tell you stories...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If that happens they'll have to release Half Life 3 to cover it up.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

used to be you entered a secret combination to unlock cheat codes, now you enter your credit card number...

Or if you're on PC, you just make your own with Cheat Engine.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

i still dont know how to make scripts with that thing

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I don't either, I just use the basic 'change this value' thing for the most part.

I feel that it's necessary to point out that Nintendo had a 900 number that you could call to get game hints.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Same thing really when you think about it.........except the later is depressing.

9 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 2

Well one doesn't make you poorer... I'd rather have that option

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Barring a break when he was overseas, Tiny Octopus has been playing since Vanilla. That deployment made him miss out on the 10 yr statue.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

TinyOctopus I must say that's a pretty bitchin' flaming hammer

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not as bitchin' as a Camaro, but Tiny Octopus agrees. ;)

Tiny Octopus' guild is 5/7 in EN normal. Cen is one heck of a gear check. Love the lore expansion as well.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That's great! My guild got 7/7 normal literally just last night. On Cenarius we ran out of floor by the end! Xavius is even more of a mess!
