This is for my little brother (he's fine btw)

Last night I was at a show with a friend, when I stepped out for a smoke. I realized I hadn't had any reception while I was inside, and once I was outside, my phone started blowing up with missed calls/texts.

"911!"
"Emergency!"
"Call your dad!"

I was starting to freak out because I've literally never received those kinds of messages from my family. When I finally get ahold of my mom, she says "Your brother has been in a really bad car accident, some 16yo girl took her parents car without permission and t-boned him, they had to use the jaws of life to get him out, he's in the ER now, but he's going to be ok."

A little quick history:
I'm 30 and my brother is 24, we're 2 of 4 siblings. We're not close in age, but we're the only two kind of introverts in the family, we're both kind of sarcastic, empathetic dudes who struggle to get why things are the way they are (that's more my thing than his). Recently I've been going through a rough time with a 3 year relationship just having come to an end, and I was in a bad way one night. I had no one to talk to, no friends around, but he was there. At 1am, he text me while he was at work "You alright?" I replied back "Nah man, I don't think so" and within 20 seconds of getting that text, my phone was ringing. We talked for about half an hour, him giving me advice, telling me I was better than the situation, just some generally positive shit, my family doesn't usually talk about our personal struggles, we're a sweep it under the rug type of bunch. That night helped me out, like, it's weird to realize your younger brother is a person all to himself, who's experienced loss and love, and is now mature enough to help you with your shit sometimes.

Anyway, once I heard he was going to be ok, I sent him this text (below) and felt relieved to get such a stupid answer.

So Nate, if you see this, you're an idiot and I love you. I'm glad you're not dead.

UPDATE:
So here's some crazy stuff I've learned: 1. The girl driving was actually 15yo and had taken her parents car without their permission, she also had her 10yo sister in the backseat.
2. Coincidentally, a nurse saw the accident happen and rushed over to the passenger side, and helped keep his neck up so he could call my parents and let them know what happened.
3. The guy driving behind my brother had his dash cam running and caught the accident so the police could see what happened.
4. My brother has fractures in his hip and will have to stay off his feet for 6wks, which sucks bc he's service industry and doesn't have insurance, but he's alive, so that's good
