Don't care about downvotes, this movie is freaking great

I'm glad you don't care about downvotes, because you got one, just for saying that.

I remember some reviewer called it The Secret Life of Walter Shitty and that's the hardest I've laughed ever

HUGE MEH.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did not find this movie as enjoyable as others

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

I've been a fan of it ever since it came out. I still don't understand why no one really mentions it..

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I agree with the movie review.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I enjoy this movie as well

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I don't think I've ever been pulled into a movie so deeply. It was brilliant in every way.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is actually my favorite movie - it's simple and beautiful for its simplicity.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

At the end I felt I had watched a completely different movie then what I had started out watching, it got real emotional real quick.

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

This movie committed the unforgivable sin of casting Adam Scott as an asshole antagonist. Otherwise, I enjoyed the crap out of it.

10/10

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Good cuz you're getting a downvote. This movie is bad and you should feel bad for liking it *Insert Zoidberg gif*

This is news to me, awesome!

No downvotes from me, upvotes for you! Good story, great soundtrack, stunning cinematography . 10/10 or 5/7 whichever you prefer

If you don't care about downvotes then shut the fuck up about it

after loosing my house and all possessions inside it a month or so before this film came out I was depressed. This movie cheered me up!

10 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 3

point for you sir

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You should have tightened down that house. Loose houses are definitely at risk.

Didnt know Ben Stiller could be in a good movie.. Might give it a try.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

DO IT!!!!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's definitely one of his better serious roles. Did you not like Meet the Parents or Along Came Polly? 2 of my favorite Stiller comedies

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure Meet the Parents was okay but that was because of De Niro.. Dont know the other one.. I usaly just hate the cheesy silly comedy he does

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Along Came Polly is still one of those awkward situation comedies, but it's a better one.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most of his comedy is awkward, which is why I think it worked for Meet the Parents. I do agree he could be on a path like Sandler

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

meh

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I liked the short story.

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

The short story inspired the use of the name Walt in the British armed forces to refer to anyone who fakes enlistment.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

/2 Which gives me an excuse to link this for an amusing read: https://www.facebook.com/The-Walter-Mitty-Hunters-Club-HQ-315222931946839/ ;)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did too. Which, is why, I can't bring myself to watch this movie.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I just imagine that the movie is really about Walter Mitty, Junior.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Please, please, please do yourself (and me) a favor and watch it!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Maybe. Is it streaming anywhere?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm not big on Ben Stiller but I enjoyed this movie.

10 years ago | Likes 189 Dislikes 5

You dont like him because that's how it's supposed to be. He helps write alot of his own stuff and performs the undesirable cluts. Genius.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm big on Stiller but this was one of my least favorite movies by him. Just because I don't really want to rewatch it ever again

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Same... I think they could have picked a better actor, but was still impressed regardless.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

Well he also directed it so I think he did a superb job overall

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It was like Will Ferrell is Stranger Than Fiction. Good performance when going for a serious role but still keeping some humor.

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Yes, Yes, yes! Exactly +1

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This movie is great all around from the cast to the soundtrack

10 years ago | Likes 255 Dislikes 5

Jose Gonzalez!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't Let It Pass by Junip is an amazing song, and its use in this movie amplified both the movie and the song

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This movie won my heart at the moment "far away" starts playing while stiller descends to the town on longboard, fucking gorgeus views.

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

That's pretty much my favourite scene (well, Space Oddity too, but that's more due to the song).

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Chris Koza, the man who wrote and performed "The wolves and the ravens", is an friend of mine!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Stay Alive" is one of the most positive songs ever !

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I bought the score on a whim at the thrift store, having never seen the movie, and it's phenomenal. Time to watch the movie!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Apparently it was actually filmed in the places mentioned in the movie. I loved the parts with the bike, longboard and volcano

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought it was incredibly trope-heavy, and kind of unrealistic with regards to human relationships, romantic or otherwise, but it was 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a fun adventure, if not much else 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like the movie, but why is this on the front page?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I mean, it's literally just a movie poster: no effort on behalf of the OP at all.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I 100% recommend watching this on a tiny screen on your first solo international flight. You will cry, and then you will feel very brave.

10 years ago | Likes 818 Dislikes 3

But also at some point watch it on a really big screen, because it is gorgeous.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I watched Frozen on my first solo international flight. Had an anxiety attack and bailed on my holiday. Not even joking.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's exactly how I watched this movie, except i was with my family. And the flight wasn't international. And I was in my living room.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

If it's available, I'm gonna watch it on my flight to Japan beginning of May.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Listeners to BBC's "Wittertainment" movie podcast call this A.I.L.S, Altitude-Induced Lachrymosity Syndrome. Seems to be a common problem.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Holy shit, that's EXACTLY how I watched this movie, on a flight to South Korea, alone. The crying/feeling brave part matches up too.

10 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

My first solo flight I marathoned lotr going from Ireland to New Zealand

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Hell yes! That's how you do when you're going to middle earth.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Watched this on my way to Singapore... man oh man was it a whirlwind!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll do this in June on my way to Peru!!! I love this movie!!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Watched in while on my first solo travel in Köln.Cried buckets because I didn't want to go home, just yet.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This comment reminded me that I watched this on a 13hr flight to Paris, was so sleep deprived I barely remember what it's about.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy shit, that's exactly how I watched this! Flying to Venice for my honeymoon :)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well then, I hope it's showing on my flight to Australia in August!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy shit this is the movie they showed on my first international flight. Didn't pay a lot of attention to it though, maybe I should have.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have my first solo international flight coming up :0

10 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

Yes. Literally watched this from Madrid to Philadelphia. Then watched Ted 2 so may have nullified the good feels

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Flying to AUS. Wow pretty damn funny

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Saw it in a plane too !

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have that Benjamin Buttons thing, where you get older and smaller or something. I don't know, I haven't seen the movie.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also how I watched it

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I DID THIS. My experience exactly.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Haha, just saw this on last month on a 10-hour flight. Also watched Inside Out, 500 Days of Summer, Mad Max and some Always Sunny.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I legit did this! Only it wasn't an international flight. Just a spontaneous flight to see a friend in Alabama.

10 years ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 1

Story time!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well, while adventures were had, they're not nearly as exciting as Walter Mitty's.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thanks Alobama!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Me too! I totally did this! Only it wasn't a flight, it was a motorbike ride to the beach and I didn't watch the movie.

10 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0
