Hello Imgur, we are Warby Parker and we make glasses. We believe that good, well-designed glasses should also be affordable, and because nobody else is doing that, we decided we would. Starting at $95 (including Rx lenses), our glasses are a fraction of the cost of those on the high street, and quite often a whole lot snazzier.

Warby Parker: Best In Glass

Too busy looking at dank memes to get to a glasses store? No problem. After all, those gifs won’t look at themselves. Pick five frames from our website and we’ll ship them all to you; then decide which pair best suits your wonderful face. Not to mention all the cash you’ll have left over compared to buying glasses elsewhere. You could buy a drone. And you could even buy that drone its own prescription glasses. And a hat.

Get your sight on our site.

PS: If you've opted into an FSA for 2017, you have access to your full balance January 1st! New year, new glasses.

I generally don't upvote ads, but I love my Warby Parkers - have for years and just bought a new pair. Great company, great disruptive.

I see this ad every other picture

Zennioptical is way way cheaper and the frames/lenses are all great quality. I paid less than $20 for mine. Had them for over 6 years now.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

zenniopticals is more affordable for a college student

Eye like the look of this...

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 10

Zenni Optical. Way cheaper.

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 4

Yup. I bought mine for $15!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Been wearing glasses for 30 years, this fucking ad comes up so much I'd never buy a pair of specks from WarbyParker.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

OR OR OR you can go to zennioptical.com and buy glasses (prescription, sunglasses, tinted, etc) for as low as $7 ($5 shipping on any number)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lol... Zenni Optical's been doing it for a long time. $7 glasses with free lenses and $5 shipping. $95 is a joke.

9 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 5

Even with the $9 fee for having super shitty eyes, still way more affordable.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I couldn't figure out how to get my prescription for Zenni so I never used it. I still need to go in somewhere to get an exam to get

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

my prescription

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Used them, regretted it. Got first order wrong, and the replacement was still wrong. And there's no fitting, so if you have a (1)

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

lopsided face, get used to crooked glasses. Would not recommend to anyone. (2)

Embedding youtube videos being offered to promoted posts but not common users is digusting. You should be ashamed imgur.

Why does this post continue to pop up? When I log in, it's not in the feed...the first click ALWAYS comes to this. This is spam!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Every. Single. Time. This is the only freaking ad I see anymore, I hate WarbyParker so much now!!!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I refuse to buy anything from them just because they are spammers.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

zenni, good Rx glasses starts at $9 yes $9, screw these guys, zenni optical

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

How can I downvote this ad more than once?

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

VPN and plenty of other accounts using throwaway email accounts!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Meanwhile, Zeni optical has perscription glasses with lenses + frames for $7.95 that comes with a case and cleaning cloth. So yea...

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Dear Imgur, Please go fuck yourself with a red hot rebar. Promoted posts WITH audio/video? I'm glad I adblock and starve you of revenue.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

zennioptical is WAY cheaper... they only send out the pair you order... and it takes 1-2 weeks but its where I get mine.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

For people who stand in the store putting on the same 3 pairs of glasses 20 times cause they can't decide, sending multiples initially helps

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

true.... I just buy 3 pairs for 7.99 each and then wear the one I like the most and its still cheaper...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A lot of reviews said they don't hold up well. Any comment on that? I beat my glasses up bad but they last

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have had the same pair for about 6 years now, no scratches...I've slept on them and stepped on them plenty of times lol. Worse thing was >

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

> I had to replace a screw on it once but just bought a dollar pair of glasses at walmart that had the same size screws and it was good

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or you can go to zenni optical and pay $7 for glasses (including prescription). Just a thought.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Fuck. Off.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Well, at least you're not with Luxottica.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

What's wrong with Luxottica besides that it's a monopoly? Actually curious

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They make glasses more expensive than they need to be.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

PSA: I have a smallish face, and I ordered some of their "small frames" ... I looked like an infant wearing adult ski goggles. Ridiculous.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Maybe look for a decent pair in the kid's section?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Good idea, but I didn't see any kid's frames on their site. I ended up using glasses.com b/c they list all of the frame measurements online.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too! I texted them pictures, and they recommended some different ones to try that all fit perfectly!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I got my first WP glasses in May and I love them & WP's service. I never comment on these ads, but I honestly recommend Warby to everyone.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

corporate shill /s

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Same here...Warby Parker is dope

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What about a monocle?

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Half price.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its lit.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not sure where all the hate in the comments is from. I've had my Warby's for 2.5 years and they're great.

9 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 11

Yeah, I love my Warby Parker glasses, I've told at least 3 people about them and they ended up buying from them too and being super happy!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Warby customer here (for real) they make dope glasses, and I got two pairs for what I typically paid for previous glasses

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Most of my hate for WB is from the deliberate misinformation campaign they run about their CSR initiatives.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

The hate is that saying you're the only one in the business supplying cheap glasses when in fact they are about 90% more expensive than say,

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

http://zennioptical.com who have been around for over a decade, is a joke. And obviously, a lie as well.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I agree, I love my warby glasses, they're good quality glasses and the company has great customer service.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

how long have you worked for Warby's?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 6

My first pair of glasses from the optometrist were $400! Co-worker told me about Warby Parker and I never looked back. Cool and affordable!

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

$95 is NOT affordable. You can go to Costco (without a membership) can use their optometrist and get frames for less than fifty.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Youtube video playing in the place a gif belongs... I like the potential here...

9 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 10

I would bet money they save that feature for the people that are willing to pay for it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well I mean as long as core functionality is never messed with I don't mind that. Paid imgur no adds and extra features.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would prefer we all get to use it but whatever.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

auto-play videos are cancer

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 3

There was no sound though. Auto-play videos with sound are cancer.

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

I got an autoplay with sound

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

What browser? Chrome?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm on Chrome and it started muted for me.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I concur, no sound. defaulted to mute. I had to adjust the volume to get sound. I have no issue at all with this. +1 for new potential.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Steam does it this way too with their trailers when looking at a game. Not really that annoying.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Zenni is even cheaper, I have 3 pairs from them and they were all under 75

9 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 11

Thank you for this! I've been looking for affordable prescription sunglasses (I always break sunglasses)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The pair I've been wearing for over a year cost me about $7 and I love them.

I bought a pair for around $7. Love em!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I got mine for under $10. more than 2 years ago, I'm overdue for a new pair. :(

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yep, I have about 10 pairs I rotate from Zenni Optical.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I got a pair of sunglasses (80% amber tint - so it was only $5 extra) that I wear to drive in. And a yellow tint for wearing in bad lighting

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And between the two I paid like $40. $15 for one $25 for the other

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I just bought some from Zenni, should be here Thursday!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Got a pair for $33 from there. Just recently scratched the lens, but oh snap, it's only gonna cost another $33 to replace them..

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If you got the anti reflective coating and they're scratched, you can remove the coating w/ glass etching and will be good as new.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hell yeah! Still wearing a pair from 3+ yrs ago. They finally retired em :(

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's tons of other places like Zenni, also.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Coastal is pretty cheap, too: https://www.coastal.com/glasses

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yessss, I pissed off the last eye doctor I went to because I gave the website to a woman who was crying over having trouble>

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I have been thinking about doing this, as I lost my health insurance. I am nervous about getting the right strength though.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I got my prescription details at Costco (45$ check) then took the prescription and ordered the glasses online. Just make sure to get the>

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

>pupil distance.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

my doctor was actually really hesitant to give me my pupil distance but like

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

u gotta if i ask

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's also written on your existing prescription and glasses (I think). Width is printed on your glasses so you know what size you'd like.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Pupil distance is different than the width of your glasses.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I did my own and my son's with an online live cam tool. They are perfect.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly, they try to hold back on that because they know people are purchasing cheaper online frames now.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

like walmart wanted $80 for sunglasses. No. I paid $5 for my lenses in my glasses, fuck you walmart.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

>affording glasses for her toddler (who apparently had a habit of breaking them) she can get the little monster multiples now.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

THAT is awesome. I won't wear mine because I keep breaking the nosepieces (they are like, perfect for nervous chewing. I swear.)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you have any relationship with Luxottica?

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 5

hopefully luxottica doesn't put a hit out on them like they did to oakley

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

they just happen to be an Italian company....

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They don't! Was a big reason why I bought my 1st WP pair http://www.businessinsider.com/warby-parker-takes-on-the-luxotica-monoply-2015-10

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Sweet. I learned about Luxotica on Adam Ruins Everything.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Same here! I hated it so much, knowing that I need them to function and can do very little to oppose it. Glad we have the option now!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
