Delayed FP Edit- So this is what the view is like from the front page. I like it! For the record, the only person I would do this with for my husband would be George. They actually like each other. So calm down all y'all freaking out about what this means about our relationship. For those of you sent here by the husband in question- I know where your upvote came from. Thx! :)

I have the opposite problem, I'm a wife and the husband regularly tries to set up play dates for me.

Jesus Christ! Charge your phone!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My wife does this. Sometimes playdates are fun.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did someone get nervous over the battery low sign too?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do people not have friends or something? Why do people need to set up “play dates” for their husbands?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Wifey know I’m way to social and I have my crew so if she leaves she knows I’m def having fun. I wish she let me do them more often

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I also do this for mine though he prefers we all hang out together. Or if I just leave him alone so he can play video games.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Charge that phone heathen.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Husband has to do this for me as well. I’m a social reject ^^;

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My husbands play dates are online with his out of state friends on Xbox

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Haha! The fucking GEICO pig

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Herd?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don’t hang out with people who use “hurd”

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Or your instead of you're.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

charge your damn phone!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is at least 5 years old

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

And the phone never got charged

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know this is really about the wives getting some time to themselves.

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

And the problem is?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I was 30 when I figured out those awesome week stays with Grandma were not primarily for me!

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Which is weird because all they have to do is say so.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is so cute i cant stand it!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Read the first 2 texts as if they were talking via walkie talkies...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I need this. But I don’t have a wife.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'd like for my wife to make a friend or two, but meddling a friendship isn't the way to go, I think.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My wife knows better than to try and socialize me against my will.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So I've hurd

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Ben Hurd, truly an iconic movie.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I enjoyed this.

7 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

Whenever my wife is going out of town, she schedules multiple play dates for me. It makes the trip easier.

7 years ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 0

Until you wake up in a seedy motel in Bangkok with a half naked Chinese international criminal, and a drug dealing Capuchin monkey.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow. As long as it isn't coming from a place of insecurity and jealousy, that is sweet and amazing

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I’m really glad you’re here to keep my wife honest.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Any time

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s adorable.

7 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

She knows me well. If she didn’t, I would spend hours sitting on the couch trying to decide what to do until I was too tired to do anything.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm in this comment and i dont like it -.-

My best all time comment.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I will add more fuel, sir.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Mine did this to me because a friends husband also "makes robots". I am a SpaceX robotic engineer. He was doing controllers for RC cars.

7 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 2

Computer Engineering major here. About to start my M.Eng. Thought about looking at SpaceX for potential employment. How is it working there?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Long hours and tight deadlines, and also not the best pay for the skills. But you are working with the most advanced experts and you get

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

to see launches from mission control knowing you're a part of it. Also the project budgets are good and high. So, great for advancing skills

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

learning from other people, being a part of something cool. Not great for if you have a family you want to spend time with very often.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fair assessment, thanks. Do you think the learning opportunities are a worthy enough time investment to outweigh the subpar pay and hours?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So as you might expect, we had a lot of fun playing with RC cars together and making circuit boards for them and stuff. Naturally.

7 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

A good ending.

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

But no happy ending

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My wife attempted this once or twice but eventually understood that I'm utterly indifferent to pretty much everybody.

7 years ago | Likes 147 Dislikes 7

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Dont worry, the only other person my husband likes to hang out with is his brother, and we all live together so it works out

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Do you have sex with his brother?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sucks to he your wife, and you

7 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 26

In your mind maybe. From another persons perspective, no. I'm sure it could be inferred that your life may also suck, based on this comment.

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

my bestfriend gets along with no one because he is a massive asshole.

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Noone but you?

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Not even me, he told me "No exceptions" I realized I need a new best friend. He treats my brother with all the respect though.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's me, your best friend.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Dio?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i have to do this for my hubs, he doesn't like asking other boys out. it just has to happen naturally.. "naturally" between wives

7 years ago | Likes 885 Dislikes 9

Yea I don't think guys like this Tbh. I would hate if my wife set up a "playdate" Tbh. This seems childish. Guys are pretty cut and dry

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

1) it's tongue in cheek 2) they are friends 3) they are too "polite" to "bother" each other but have a blast when we hang

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Not gonna lie. I'd appreciate it if my girl did this on the sly and neither of us knew.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I straight up ask my SO's best mate to take his grumpy arse out. He can get so stuck in a rut that he thinks noone wants to see him.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My wife just asks other boys or for herself! Cut out the middle man

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I doesn't seem like it should be like this, but sometimes it do.

7 years ago | Likes 136 Dislikes 1

If I don't show any interest in hanging out with someone it's literally because I don't like them. Guys are usually pretty cut and dry.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

we have friends that we like but he feels like he is interrupting to reach out. So I help :)

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

My wife has suggested it, but it would be fucking torture for me. I do not have much in common with my wife's friends' husbands.

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I think I'd enjoy my SO this for me. I have poor social skills. Thanks autism.

7 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 1

Thanks vaccines

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yeah but think of all the diseases you aren't dying from

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

this is sadly a reality. and true

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Him too. He thinks himself out of things but not if we have the right buffer

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Also I wish I had an SO...

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

My SO and I both have poor social skills and are antisocial, we prefer to stay in with ourselves

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

we have turned our house into a mega playground because of this.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

For real?? How weird

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I’d never call any of my wife’s friends husbands up out of the blue, but they’ll often arrange a day when they go out and we have the kids>

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"X was thinking about going to the car show" 'Oh yeah, so was Y" "We should see if they want to meet up"..

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

We always have a blast but don’t socialize much outside of that

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

he talks about it, like "I wish I knew what he was doing with that Rx7". and I'm like.. ASK HIM! .."eh, next time .."

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Husband here: Stop fucking doing this.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

btw, it's van halen, not van hagar. >.<

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Well you do not understand why what i do is helpful. You dont know me *sassy snaps

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

wife used to do this with her friends’ husbands. It was always awkward and I never liked any of them. She finally figured it out and stopped

7 years ago | Likes 284 Dislikes 3

Amen brother. Terrible idea

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

It is a terrible idea if she based her husbands possible friendship off her friendship with the wife.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don’t just do it for the possibility of a double date

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’ve seen it done where the two wives believe, based off character, that the husbands could be good friends, then it’s cool.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

so you just refused to have fun with your wife's friends until she stopped trying to include you in things?

7 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 56

you're retarded

7 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 5

Awe jeez Rick.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Maybe it’s maybelline.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe it's the rum but I straight up cackled at the two other responses to this. Amazing.

7 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

I saw your comment and didn’t know what you were talking about until i looked down and died

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Being forced to interact with people you don't want to isn't a reasonable request its cruel and unusual punishment.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Aye is the glass half empty over there eh?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He didn’t say he refused, he said he didn’t have fun. There’s a difference

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

if it happens every time then he is the problem. And even if he doesn't have fun, sometimes acting like it is an easy thing to do for her

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

No, have you ever been in a relationship? You can be different and find comfort in different things. He said he tried, and he would continu>

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yea, and sometimes I do things I'm not interested in for her

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Trying but the wife noticed. That’s the sign of a great relationship. Acceptance and understanding
