Good on them.

Don't give pets as gifts.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Truer words haven't been spoken.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You shouldn't have to apologise for not facilitating people's bad decisions.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Good for them! Every summer, I wind up fostering 2 or 3 rabbits cuz some asshole didn't think about their choices.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IS THIS EVEN A THING????

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why would you abandon a perfectly edible animal.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Repeat after me: pets are NOT gifts.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Found 6 buns by the side of the road last easter. So tame they didnt run. Luckily they all found homes.

Jesus Christ people are scum.

There are other options

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aw... it makes sense, but waking up with a bunny in my room one Easter as a kid was magical! I had Spot for years.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why not just gift zombie Jesus action figures?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank God. +1

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well done! Also: the easter bunny is not real, kids.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good for them

I had some friends get rabbits for their young daughters. Then went to a movie. It was kinda scary. Problem solved.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone that works in vet medicine, thank you! This is such a huge problem. So many bunnies are abandoned or aren't cared for properly.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

People don't do any research on what bunnies need and how much work they actually are. Have seen many get sick or die for lack of care. Sad.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Was hoping it said "sorry for the incontinence"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Great, now I have to shop for dinner elsewhere

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

This is awesome, but why is this on the FP twice?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For awareness...?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good. It's terrible that people do that just because it's Easter. Don't be a shitty pet owner.

8 years ago | Likes 176 Dislikes 0

Same with Christmas puppies once everyone goes back to work or school and the dog is home alone to chew shit up they are out of there!

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Damn it, the bunny thing made me sad, this now made me sad and now I am angry too.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I figured it's because they don't want them eaten? Lol

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

My bunnies were not abandoned. They were eaten by racoons who broke into he cage and discarded their remains all over the backyard.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

My family tried to feed me my pet rabbit...They tried to tell me it was chicken.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Are you ok? That's a terrible memory.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Had a similar issue with an owl a couple of weeks ago.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eat shit bunny farmer

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can we get a link to the store so we can donate to their efforts?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

donate to their effort of not doing something... what? i realize you want to sound self righteous but go donate to a shelter or something.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was thinking more along the lines of free advertising donate was not a good word to use

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You would be better off donating to an animal shelter. This store is doing the right thing but won’t be dealing with the abandoned bunnies

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Give them recommendations and good reviews, but give your money to the registered charities who need it because of irresponsible fools

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is what I was thinking should not have used the word donate

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Glad to hear it. It's a major problem and they're doing a great thing by trying to help combat it. :)

b-b-but... jesus?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yeah, but it’s a pet store. They are the root of the unwanted pet problem 365 days a year, saving a few bunnies is a drop in the bucket

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I have never heard of this, major problem?? Maybe my family just had some extra critical thinking ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Major problem? They are rabbits. Let em go, or cook them in a stew. No problem

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 11

I really hope you are just kidding otherwise there’s something wrong with you emotionally, lol...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, it was a joke, but I am seriously considering meat rabbits this year so it's only kind of a joke.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Couldn’t you just get some rabbit meat from your local butcher or sourced humanely online? Just curious...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I could, or I could raise it humanely and cheaply myself.. what does it matter who raises the rabbit, it's still food at the end of the day

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Doing things right.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

If they were doing things right, they wouldn't own a pet store.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Vegan? Peta? Just against animal "ownership"?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

None of the above. I just don't like pet mill-supplied stores with tiny cages. People should buy their pets from responsible breeders who...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

specialize on one animal species, or, even better, adopt pets from animal shelters. Stores with caged puppies & kittens are an abomination.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I agree with what you’re saying, but your username doesn’t check out, lol...;-)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are bunnies good starter pets? I was planning on getting a rat but now I'm thinking bun bun.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Rats need a cage the size of a chest of drawers, packed with toys, and can't be kept solo.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you keep them right, yes. Remember that they live 10+ years, need a very large pen, and need as much enrichment as a dog or cat.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Rats, bunnies, etc... need as much attention as a cat, so I don’t really believe in “starter” pets; just do your research & see what fits...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well by 'starter' I mainly mean relatively cheap to feed/keep. I definitely don't want to adopt a pet I can't afford.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, that’s fair, but keep in mind the housing, bedding, food, toys, vitamins, veterinary costs, etc... In my experience...1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2...bunnies & cats have similar costs, but rats & reptiles are less expensive.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Reptiles have more upfront costs, so if you really need something cheap to start out with, I’d go w/ a rat. They are hella smart & sweet!
