A DOJ (Defend our Juries) spokesperson said: "Banksy's work of art on the walls of the Royal Courts of Justice powerfully depicts the brutality unleashed by Yvette Cooper on protestors by proscribing Palestine Action.
"When the law is used as a tool to crush civil liberties, it does not extinguish dissent - it strengthens it. As Banksy's artwork shows, the state can try to strip away our civil liberties, but we are too many in number and our resolve to stand against injustice cannot be beaten - our movement against the ban is unstoppable and growing every day. I love the dilemma Banksy's art puts people in. You know the judges/politicians want it destroyed, but they know that a clean Banksy mural is worth millions. In the battle of greed -vs- ego, who will win?

This will be removed by the government before the end of the week.

When you spray paint the side of a court house, that does tend to happen.

A reminder that the entirety of common law is about protecting business and gov't from us 'rabble'

There is a reason the legal system affords every opportunity for the wealthy to evade consequences and comes down like a hammer for the poor.

That is an entirely nonsensical and bullshit description of common law. It would make more sense if describing statutory law, but common law is very much NOT something which defends business and especially not governments. As an opinion the statement it does is very ignorant and ill informed.

What's going on, did they do some sort of ban on protesting?

Yes. "Palestine Action" (the group) have been defined as a "terrorist group" by the cunts in Parliament and hundreds of people are being prosecuted for not being massive hunks of shit.

That seems wildly excessive to label political speech as terroristic activities

Their excuse is that the group infiltrated a royal air force base and threw paint on a plane, which is a bit more than political speech. (Though not justifying proscribing the group)

For context, the proscription order for the group come in BEFORE they threw paint at the RAF planes proported to have been used on recon missions in order to give Israel intel to aid in their Genocide.
They were proscribed after HEAVY lobbying from the MIC and Israel aligned groups.
With even the Proscription Review Group conceding that proscription would be "Novel and Unprecidented"
