I never got into any trouble in school from watching the Captain kangaroo show but I sure did raise hell and get in trouble watching the Three Stooges had Curly’s imitation down pat
Younger coworker yesterday admitted she didn't know who Cher was and everyone else at work absolutely roasted her for it. I'd feel bad but everyone roasting her was also in her generation.
Something tells me Cher wasn't walking with him arm in arm so much as restraining him from rushing the camera and trashing the studio in a frenzy of alcohol fueled rage.
Watched this as a kid. A Pirate friend of mine got me the entire series so I could show it to my daughter. This dude was shitfaced every episode, I realize as I am am grown.
This was before my time, but I heard on a podcast I listen to, that a listener knew him as Mr. Cream Cheese because that's what she heard, and she had a black and white TV
I was going to say something similar, as there are multiple comments here about Bob Keeshan drinking, and I don’t see anything online about that. Was it just a rumor or something I’m missing?

Nostalgic memories! Who else mastered Curly's 'nyuk nyuk nyuk' and got into mischief inspired by Moe, Larry, and Curly?

My favorite was Grandfather Clock.

I've never bothered to Google a picture of the main character, so TIL Captain kangaroo looks a lot like Scotty from Star Trek.

So, I don't want to come off as purposefully argumentative. But I've seen interviews with people who worked with him and I don't think what you're saying is accurate. Here's one of many: https://www.aarpethel.com/lifestyle/what-it-was-like-to-work-for-the-beloved-captain-kangaroo
