You do realize that this is the EXACT principle that the US was founded on?!

Colonist? Judging by the picture I'm guessing thats an old school Butt Doctor?

So we just gonna act like the Boston tea party didn't happen... Ok

Why not we are trying to hide other images that are offensive.

Actually, they organized, got guns and started shooting the authorities. So, you'd prefer blacks do the colonial thing?

Yes.

yes, it'll make things interesting

If they voted for anyone but the president, they'd have power over the government. If they feel disconnected from the law it's their fault.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

3/3- so that "disconnect" is often because some police HATE blacks- making trust impossible. You're certainly right about voting though!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That disconnect just MIGHT have something to do with racist cops. In Fort Lauderdale, they just fired a bunch for sending racist memes 1/2

2/2 sent from police laptops! DOZENS of officers got the pics- NONE came forward. A jilted girlfriend ratted on her cop boyfriend to press.

Whereas the American colonists had no power over their own government; it was ruled by some dickhead because he was the son of another one.

Dubya didn't win because his dad was once president, he won because his opponent was Mr. Al "my Slideshow is worth a Nobel prize" Gore.

Ad because his brother was Florida's governor. Don't downplay that.

The Sons of Liberty did do stuff like that. They attacked tax collectors, loyalists, and others. People were tarred and feathered. Homes 1/

The issue is, the law was actually, explicitly against the rights of the colonists in this case, instead of "WHY CANT I ROB A BANK RACIST".

The difference is that they were under an occupying regime and were doing these things as a revolt against them.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

They weren't umber an occupier. Everyone moved to America with the understanding that it was a British colony. They saw injustice and fought

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Ur right, thats why ur downvoted. Imgurians are much like regular people. Some good, some bad, some ugly

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Looted and burned. Then they began stockpiling weapons and ammo to fight against the legitimate government. /2

But only the British loyalist suffered not their own

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

2/3rds of the colonists either never supported rovolution or were directly opposed. So who is "their own"?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or anyone they suspected of being loyalists. This also ignores some of the other issues that were going on like the class war in the 1/

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Carolinas, and other civil conflict where "their own" were fighting each other. /2
