Earlier today I noticed a balloon float down into the field next to my house, and I sat staring for five or ten minutes before deciding to investigate. Honestly I figured that it was just trash, but at least I could throw it away instead of leaving it as litter. As I read the word "Princess" I assumed it was an escaped balloon from a child's birthday.

Immediately after reading the envelope, I broke out in tears. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child. Deciding to take it back to my house felt as if I was encroaching on something incredibly private, but it seemed even more disrespectful to leave it in the mud and rain.

I don't know what to say or do besides send good thoughts and prayers to the family. Your daughter left the earth far too soon, and I'm so sorry.

Rest in peace...

STOP IT I'M NOT READY FOR THESE FEELS

My brother died 10 days after he was born, 25 years later my mom still mourns his passing.

Is that a letter? Names? You need to research and reply to them, let them know how you (and this Imgur family) feel

There's absolutely no way I'm going to open it. It's way too private.

I've written a letter like this before. I just wanted someone to hear me, if you're not going to listen then send it on its way.

I have a friend at work whose family does this each year for a child they lost to a medical issue shortly after birth. This year, they (1/?)

also ate cupcakes. Each year the pain lessens and it becomes more of a celebration.
