9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really should haves moored to something.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have you tried turning it on and off again?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can see the driver get out if you watch closely

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just hate it when things go bad so terrifyingly slowly, building momentum as there's nothing you can do about it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love how the ferry worker starts to walk away. Like he wasn't involved.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Truck: uh ohhhh-gargleblubblubspppprrrrt

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Neat!" - Guy in backpack

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's one really expensive anchor.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

on ice road truckers when the road melts

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Holy crap! Did the driver get out?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ok. I see it. I am only probably an idiot.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ooohhh fuuuuck..those are so expensive... I'd strangle a puppy to own one and it just.. Sank. Ugh. *dies*

I think we've all been there....

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

All that heavy machinery, and they didn't bother trying to tie up some kinda temporary mooring? Fucking physics, what are they?

9 years ago | Likes 110 Dislikes 0

You see IVAN, ....

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Guy on his phone could've stopped all this

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

How?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"ITS GOING IN THE FUCKING WATER!!!" Something like that? Truck driver obviously didn't know until it was too late.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or have the tugboat actually push with equal force. Nope, not today gg wp teamwork.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Worked on barges with cranes on them and that is exactly how you load anything heavy on them, but with it being tied to bollards as well 1+

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I thought that might have been a way to go, but I don't know anything about rug boats. I thought maybe direct contact was avoided. Thanks!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They got bumpers on them for pushing, the goal is to beach the barge while loading, lots of ways to get it off the bottom after

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You know what, it is knowledge like this I want to pick up. I won't have use for it, but hell. Thanks for teaching! =D

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i was going to ask if this was russia. thanks, backpack, for clearing this up.

9 years ago | Likes 310 Dislikes 1

didnt see the bag in question thought this was some dora the explora crack

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ural trucks almost exclusively exist in Russia. I was doubting myself until I saw the front grill

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Is that a backpack, or a duffel bag being used as a backpack?

9 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

A duffel bag with backpack straps. I have one, it's very convenient

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

In Russia, they are both.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Am russian. Can confirm.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Never seen this before actually. Am Russian.

When you're trying to lay some serious pipe but you can't get enough friction because she's too wet.

9 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 9

Why on earth would you want friction?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So your boat doesn't float away while you're trying to load it with pipe. Duh! Didn't you watch the GIF?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Got to reserve that for quickies so she can't get wet enough just yet.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There is no such thing.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Driver seemed to abandon ship a bit early. Only saw the tires lock up for a second; though maybe he killed the engine so said fuck it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

he's pretty much done for as soon as the ship starts moving, he's unlikely to be able to pull that load uphill from that position.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

yeah I doubt he would have saved the load or trailer. but maybe save the truck. Either way, wasn't there, glad he's safe.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did the driver get out?

9 years ago | Likes 178 Dislikes 6

Are you kidding? Do you realize how embarrassed he must be?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Who cares. It's Russia. Swimming out of a sinking semi truck is considered a good day there.

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

No, they're not allowed to.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

A driver always goes down with their vehicle.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

A captain always goes down with his ship.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yep and he went on to become a movie star and was never sick a day in his life. *iwanttobelieve*

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes, you can see him step out onto dry land before the cab starts slipping into the water.

9 years ago | Likes 143 Dislikes 0

I love how casual it looks when he got out, like "Oh well, that's a doozy."

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Smart man.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Very smart. He's a pro gif watcher.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I like how you say "dry land" like it's water world

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah, dude stepped out and casually walked away like, "well fuck..."

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I bet he went like "ooopsie daisy. bet nobody saw that"

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Not his fault the barge started backing up. Barge captain is at fault

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

barge is under tow, no power itself and i didn't say it was his fault, although might have been, tried to stop on mud, slid and pushed barge

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Finally, some logs NOT soaked in wood.

9 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 8

who's the guy, something banana?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Those are definitely iron pipes. I like the way you think though.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

...Aren’t those metal pipes

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Dammit, you're right...I'm getting rusty.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

So are those pipes.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nice save

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You planned this didn’t you

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nope...I'm a dad.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That must have cost that company so much money

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

which company?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Whoever was moving those logs. I'm assuming it was not just for recreation. But assumings gotten me into trouble before.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the ferry shouldn't be moving that soon, either ...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I figured they were all one organization :O

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The commenter not uk. I'm from uk.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

As an American, the UK version should be the only version. I can't wait for The Grand Tour.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Haha I was just playing. Wanted to see how many downvotes it would get.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 23

And how would you gauge your success?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mediocre at best.
