First fad that I genuinely don't understand. Like, I get they are neat and relaxing, but the level of popularity they have is ridiculous. I came across a decently popular YouTube channel fully devoted to these things... I'm becoming an old man

They have been around for a while. The real 'popularity' started with the EDC community, and they were lots of $$$, now the kids have them.
