Let's face it, a lot of jobs are just following a procedure than actually having any problem solving smarts. Theres processes for everything

I'm in my fourth year of engineering school, this is why I worry about whatever I go on to next

Work in 1000 times easier than engineering school.

11 years in my industry, still turn up 30 min early every day, still happy to do it. And I'm pretty sure I'm qualified for it.

I know what this is called a ''bad attitude''.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

3 months? Wow that guy has a shit attitude for having a job for 3 months

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

How is it for three years?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Definitely. I feel the comic artist just liked the number 101 as a representation of a long time later without thinking about it

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lol you start acting like this 3 months after you get a job and your probably not going to do well

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

That's why you start day one. Get them used to low expectations early, just like a relationship

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Hell yeah. Set the bar low, then shock em with mediocre work

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've been with the same company for about 4 years now and I'm starting to feel it. I was almost an hour late the other day due to "fuck it."

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yep, are we the minority here? I work in finance, and if you don't give at least a year of earnest effort you're considered flaky?

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I agree, I work in service/sales so even after 6 years I only get a day every now and then of "fuck it's". Otherwise its a solid 80%

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yep I am 4ys into a dept in an industry I've been with for 11ys. I'm in my 30s. I struggle to take anyone seriously who is only months in.

I’m barely qualified to write this comment

Neither am I, that’s why I had to settle for replying

You forgot the period at the end of your sentence.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We're all just kind of winging it to various degrees...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not qualified to be happy, yet here I am!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have lost all faith in professionals after becoming one. The medical system terrifies me

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also so many industries across the world have experienced so much disruption is recent years that it feels like you're fighting a new kind

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Battle everyday, where no one knows the rules or can apply common sense logic. It's both exciting and terrifying

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Flip side. I am ridiculously overqualified and my bosses are all baby spanking new dummies and almost completely unqualified to do anything

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Case in point, I make about 50% more money than they do.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd agree with you but I only listen to people who have a PhD and 20 years experience.

6 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Ah, you must be hiring for entry level positions.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Pfft, you think THEY know what they're doing?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When I finish job hunting for the day, apparently the job hunting follows me to Imgur.

Rising to the level of your incompetence

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which probably explains why companies don't promote from within. Tho it could be easily handled by giving trial periods.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also its close cousin, the Dilbert Principle.
