Isn't Newton's First Law that a body will keep its current state unless being acted upon by outside forces?

I thought this was going to explain all of Newton's laws. Still good though.

If we're going to keep daylight savings, let's do it right. Instead of changing by 1 hr, change it by 6. Swing/grave shift get sun too!

I calculate how much sleep I could get. But that keeps me from getting to sleep so I have to recalculate, and the cycle continues.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're right OP I should go back to bed!

"Can you remember the last time we spent a whole Saturday in bed?" "DAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!" "...Nope."

This is meant to lightly poke fun at our desire to sleep, but sleep is crucial for health, cognitive performance and productivity

Hubby said he needed to go to bed early tonight so he could take a nap tomorrow.

I love sleep, but I never understood folks who slept til noon. Or that they aren't "morning" people. :/

It's partially genetic

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This post genuinely made me sleepy

#6 is me almost every day. Doubly-so if it's going to be less than 7 hours and I get bummed!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got halfway through these and fell asleep on my keyboard.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Calculating how much sleep I can get? Every night I set my watch it shows the amount of hours until alarm. I almost never exceeds 6 hrs :-(

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should change that

I see Philip J. Fry in the first one.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

something tells me this is distinctly non-random.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If I got to bed now I will get exactly 4 hours and 17 minutes

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This! So true!

But if I stay in bed for a whole week I'll be late to work!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too!

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Sure, I'll get in your bed

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Me too! And it's 3 in the afternoon!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll be right over. Are snacks allowed in your bed??

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I only start calculating how much sleep I can get when I know I'm going to hate the answer. I've never once been like "eight hours, yay!"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a night shift worker, morning DOES start at noon.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

10:30pm here. Then bedtime at 2:30pm. I kind of forget that anything besides "morning" exists.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

7pm for me

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I SLEPT FOR 19 HOURS YESTERDAY. I'M NOT PROUD OF IT, BUT HOLY SHIT IT FELT SO GOOD.

10 years ago | Likes 157 Dislikes 1

Be proud of that accomplishment!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah make up your sleep debt. Yes that's a thing. However, if you do that a LOT, just be aware excessive sleep is a sign of depression.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did that on Sunday. Worth it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know that feeling! Sometimes we need it

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I just woke up after a 10 hour sleep. Every night I get at LEAST 9 hours no matter what I do.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

but did you wake up at some point, then go back to sleep? cause i slept 14 hours straight

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't feel guilty, you probably deserved it!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nothing beats a 24 hour nap. Those army naps .... miss them

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

SOUNDS LIKE WE HAD VERY DIFFERENT ARMY EXPERIENCES.

Am I the only one that feels like shit if I sleep for too long?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Try hydrating more before bed.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I end up with a headache when I sleep too much, but I do it almost every weekend anyway because I fucking love sleep haha

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha. Yeah, I get awful headaches. Think it's just dehydration.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's exactly what I think it is too!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I may try drinking a butt load of water tonight and try and sleep forever and see how I feel!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If I had to guess I'd think it'd just make you have to pee a bunch of times in the middle of the night. Maybe drink more if/when you wake up
