Pretty sure i saw a clip of a guy who has been working on same mango tree for 60 years. It has over 100 types of mangos growing on 1 tree

The trees growing from the ground are doing the work of growing the leaf clusters. A root bulb is grafted on to sell in stores
The root bulb would take absolutely forever to start a leaf cluster that big, but a full tree can regenerate one in a year or so
So for farming tropical woody plants like ficus and rubber, grafting is incredibly efficient for quick turnaround
