Get a sturdy snowrake for the roof & use it regularly so things don't build up so much. Better yet: put on heated cables when the weather is nonice; plug in during the cold snowy weather....

I don't think it was but it's not hard to predict one of the possible outcomes.
Sadly they never got to hear the response, as an avalanche co-incidentally destroyed the house not long after the video was uploaded :(
