Karen Juday worked as an administrative assistant at Cantor Fitzgerald on the 101st floor of the North Tower at the World Trade Center.

Her fiance, Richard Pecorella, came to StoryCorps to remember her.

StoryCorps aims to record at least one interview for each life lost in the September 11th attacks.

he pays for them to have multi use tix, water park tix and meal vouchers while the CEO comes to be with them as well. We are in awe over it.

Looked her up. She had such an effect on her world I wanted to see her face. There's a haunting photo of her in a gash of the tower.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Aw shit. Wasn't prepared.

Wow. A serious 9/11 post? Thank you, seriously. I feel like I only see jokes about 9/11 anymore. Some of us actually knew those people.

This is why we remember, this is why we live as Americans. Our system may be sketchy, but we will always respect our fallen.

I read "Italian guy from Brooklyn", and I thought this was an animation about Mario.

I just had the idea to photoshop Bin Laden's beard onto Bowser, but that would probably be pretty insensitive...

Damn it, I'm supposed to be jaded by now, not crying.

9 years ago | Likes 349 Dislikes 2

Don't become jaded. Please. It sucks when people think you're heartless. Advice from an internally pained cynic.

It's traumatic. It's supposed to hurt. That's normal and healthy.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Way to make those of us without tears feel like jerks, thanks.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I want to cry, at this. I feel bad because I'm not. I don't think I can bring myself to open those floodgates.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have the same problem. For a long time, I was afraid that I could only cry when I was angry. I recommend Pan's Labyrinth.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've seen that, great film. It might've made me cry, I can't recall. Fiction's more likely to. I'm more willing to let myself get attached.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I hear that. I only seem to get emotional with anime and books. Though Hell on Wheels hit me harder than I've been hit in a long time.
