Snowy is the sweetest cat, loves everyone and is never a bother except for cuddles. That's why it's all the more confusing that someone has shot her.

Over the weekend she came home with awful injuries to her head. Now it turns out that she was shot three times in the head and neck. The attack has left her with horrible injuries to her eye, as well as bullet fragments in her neck and ear, and some lead in her digestive system.

Somehow she managed to make it through a window and onto their bed with her injuries, she's a tough cookie!

The owners son has set up a givealittle page to help raise funds to help with her vet bills. If you want to read more check the link below.

Thanks for reading

https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/help-snow-cat-recover-from-being-shot

EDIT: The goal has been reached! I've heard Snow cat has gone into surgery this morning and her mum is overwhelmed by the generosity of strangers and is incredibly grateful. Thank you to all of those who donated from the $3 to >$500. You are all incredible and every single donation has had a massive impact.

Absolute cunts.

Fuck that person

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Son of a bitch die slowly and in pain who ever did this. Or get jailed for lifetime piece of shit

8 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 5

Doubly sad it happened here in NZ. Glad to contribute on behalf of my three kitties, Snoopy, Mimsy & Doof Doof

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My cat also has two bullet fragments in him. With a good owner Snowy's gonna be fine.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is tragic and awful. Partially why I keep my kitty indoors. Cats are a common target for disturbed people all too often.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Find the guy who shot her and anonymously break all his bones.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately it's far too common for cats to get shot at for 'fun'. My bf has a three-legged cat who lost his leg because of such psychos.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

WHO THE FUCK SHOOTS A CAT, KARMA PLEASE DO YOUR THING

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

v

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What was done here was barbaric, but cats are not nice to other animals. Some of their victims are also beloved pets. Keep your cats inside.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

Agreed. I don't like the assumption that just because it is hurt that it wasn't doing something to warrant retaliation.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Many farm towns/states have laws that allow you to shoot and kill cats/dogs/ect if they are attacking or even just harassing farm animals

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Fucking assholes.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That poor baby. Has she been seen at the vet yet? What procedures do they recommend?

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Yeah she's been at the vet since. They need to remove her eye, help her pass the lead in her digestive system and they may or may not 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

need to remove the bullet fragments from her neck and ear, but they wont know until the swelling goes down. Painkillers are helping a lot rn

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Fucking people. FUUUUUUCK.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Cat's a fighter. I'm sure snowy will make it!

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

just fucking why

8 years ago | Likes 179 Dislikes 0

Rescued white GSD who went through SAME event. Came back amazingly strong. Now HATES/Fears men in baseball caps. Geist is my love. <3

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Because there are alot of fuckin' assholes out there and usually they dont get punished if they shot pets as long no human got hurt.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I was told that animals were for human enjoyment. It took everything I had not to choke this person. Animals are companions, period!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

What the fuck v

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

When you resort to shooting a cat, you're the pussy.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

It could have been a mistake depending on the area. Many places allow regulation of feral cats

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Fuck man, animals are such innocent creatures that you have to be messed up in the head to do something so cruel

8 years ago | Likes 122 Dislikes 0

Depending on the area it could have been mistaken for another animal/feral cat

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 5

I have a neighbor that feeds all the strays. It's irritating but I wouldn't shoot them.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Cats tend to be taken out around farms as there is such a breeding problem with them. Also people drop their cats off all the time

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is evil, no doubt. But what makes pet owners think it's okay to let an animal just wonder around outside? They are also to blame.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 5

Came to say this. Person who shot the cat is awful. Feel terrible for the cat. But they also shouldn't roam free

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Lots of animals get shot if they molest (or even get near) livestock. They're doing what they're programmed to, it's pet owner's negligence

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Good point

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Worst part, it's probably some kid who thinks this is fucking hilarious. I'd trade 12 billion of you for that cat you little cunt

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Some people are just a scum plain and simple. Animals, especially domesticated ones, are gifts to all humanity. And we do this shit.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

not saying do it in anyway, but you go to the shooters house and cut the air inlets on their tyres

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm still waking up I thought you said to cut air inlets INTO their eyes, still a +1.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

hahah thats a little more extreme

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where is this person who did this? I just wanna talk

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Would you be so kind as to loop me into this "conversation"?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Of course

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It still confuses me how can people do such horrible things, and even towards animals? I hope she gets better. Love for the family!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It depends on the area. Some places allow regulation of feral cats.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She looks like she's plotting her revenge, hopefully she gets it.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

"I am going to pee on sooo many pillows for this."

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I really hope they identify the gun from the bullet fragments. Anyone that fucked up in the head will get caught with that gun eventually...

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Sounds more like it is pellets from a shotgun

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They're not gonna spend the money to do that on a cat, unfortunately. And even if they did, knowing what type of gun it was fired from 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

hardly would help, seeing as there are more than likely multiple guns in the area that have that caliber/type of round 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm expecting it to be a .22 or an air rifle, otherwise the wounds would be worse. This was most likely a stupid kid who was 'bored'.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

.22 can kill a cat. Def not a .22. I would suspect a pellet/bb gun.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And others mention a shotgun, which makes sense from a distance.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

people can be complete fuckers that need to be put down...

8 years ago | Likes 378 Dislikes 3

A-fucking-greed! At the very least, receive the same treatment.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm appalled at how many people genuinely hate cats.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I vote for castration. There's no need for them to breed children who do this. However, the problem may lie at home. Not genetics.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

For sure. Torturing animals is a sign of violent psychopathy, that will turn into human mistreatment. Either put em down or get them >

8 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 1

Probably not a psychopath, just a stupid "shoot first, ask questions later" jumpy cowboy. Psychopathy is incredibly rare.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

-serious treatment. How effective is therapy/medicine for helping psychopaths? I can't imagine it's easy, given their personality

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

Debatably it seems to work. All about giving constructive goals and shit they can use their skills in better.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

That's why I started torturing people

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes hi, I'm a maniac. Do your torturings end in death or flat out total insanity?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, indeed they do but I already found a way to conjure the dead and use then again

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or just need mental help. Idk death seems a little backwards there, champ ;)

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

No it's the exact punishment, these fucks will eventually escalate the violence towards humans. It's only a matter of time.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Have you ever considered that not EVERY single person who's hurt an animal becomes a serial killer?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

They just develop into lesser human garbage? Wife beaters, child abusers, rapists? Basically it's the sign of a sadist.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

They may not become anything. Making a wild assumption and saying that's the case every time is just absurd

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the people who keep letting their fucking cats roam at very least don't need to be allowed pets, right?

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 65

I get cats can be a nuisance but they're meant outside for a good quality of life

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Since I'm being downvoted, someone tell me why I'm wrong? It's normal in the UK for there to be cats roaming

I live in a suburban area each Street (about 20 houses) has atleast three cats

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Or.. and hear me out here don't FUCKING SHOOT THE CAT

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Get some help man... I think something came lose in your head...

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

You are partly right there. Cats don't really belong to our natural habitats, rural nor urban.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Dude... Don't blame the owners. It's never OK to torture any animal regardless if out and about or wild. These are psychopaths.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Don't blame the irresponsible pet owners who are breaking the law by letting their pet roam loose? Okay then. Smart.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Cats are usually pretty independent and don't bother humans. I'd say don't let cats roam if you live near an area with endangered critters >

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 3

Or an area with anyone else who has small pets or a garden. Cats do indeed cause a LOT of property damage.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 25

This wasn’t someone wanting to kill the cat though, this was aimed for injuries

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

So shooting something in the head isn't meant to kill..? I'm not sure what planet you're from, but I'd like to visit someday.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

-or an ecosystem imbalance.

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 2

https://www.animallaw.info/article/detailed-discussion-state-cat-laws your leash laws are for dogs only.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

You could stop spamming that since you're wrong. I've already told you my county has an ordinance against ANY animal at large.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

And what county would that be

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Notice that the only exceptions are clearly worded. Everything else applies to all domestic species.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I.... have no words other than I hope the shooter finds death slow and painful.

8 years ago | Likes 531 Dislikes 10

I advocate torture for the shooter. Keep an alive, make them beg for death and deny it for as long as possible. Maximum agony is deserved.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 4

You do all understand the irony of wishing ill on someone that does wrong don't you? Or the line between food and pet? Where is that line?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 14

Whoever did this wasn't looking to eat. There's a difference between killing to eat and whatever the perpetrator was up to.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

If a motherfucker killed my cat to eat it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm all against capital punishment and an-eye-for-an-eye, but for this kind of things I'm all for stupid retaliation.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was probably a child...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or gets tortured and consumed by cats like that one scene in "The Ancient Magus's Bride"

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

We need to make a John Wick but for Cats.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Nail their dick to a barn. Then set that barn on fire.

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

Give them a rusty knife, so they can escape if they're willing to make the sacrifice :)

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

"Law Abiding Citizen" comes to mind. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1197624/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sever the spinal cord between the C5/6 vertebrae such that they become paralyzed from the elbows down... then throw them in a pit of tigers.

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 3

I'm on it.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Found the hitman

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

skip the tigers and just let him live like that for a very long time

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or just slice the tendons in his arms and legs and prop him up on a giant anthill, and make sure he stays hydrated.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Someone finally talking sense

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why paralyze him. Just throw him in and let him feel all the pain

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

I don't think being paralyzed stops you feeling pain but you sure as hell can't fight back

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In the paralysed area, there is usually no feeling at all.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really wished that people get that angry when the similar things happen to humans. But then it is "it's not my problem"

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 25

A person getting shot is horrible, but there are a billion possible reasons why that could've happened. What reasons are there for doing>

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I don't believe there is a single thing that can justify killing or hurting a person other than saving another one.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Injuring a small animal for fun is like injuring baby for fun. It has no way to defend itself. I think that is why some people react more.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

There are plenty of adults who can't defend themselves.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

No question that this is horrible, but if the cat had been kept safe at home, this wouldn't have happened.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 18

victim blaming? really? cat got out, it happens - this wasn't a hawk drive by or car..

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

So, a hawk dive or a car would be ok then?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 10

no - but neither would likely be intentional with forethought (hawk just wants his food, driver just tryin to get where they are going)

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

My point is that it's safer for that cat to be kept indoors, for the cat's sake. You don't want them to get hurt for ANY reason, right?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 9

"If little Jimmy wanted to stay safe, he should've stayed inside all his life. It's not the murderer's fault."

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

So, you'd let "little Jimmy" play in a stranger's yard at night?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 10

I'd let little Jimmy go out on the street, cause that's where normal Jimmys usually are. Do you think the cat was thrown in someones garden?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

No, I'd assume it found its way there on its own when it was let out and left to wander.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8
