My life was controled by anorexia...

In 2013, I was 90 pounds soaking wet, and I made sure I stayed that way. I lived on caffeine and cigarettes, ate maybe one meal a day, and rarely slept so I could fill waking hours with working out. By 2014 I ended up in a full time eating disorder clinic, I had quit smoking and cut all caffeine intake back to the bare minimum I needed for work and school.

This year I'm now officially 135 pounds which shows you exactly how underweight I was when I was at me worst. I quit modeling because it fed that demon and most photographers don't want the "average" model. Plus there's better things to do in life. Like eat good food and learn new things

Wow, you look absolutely wonderful in the second pic. You're a beauty!

You look so much healthier :) and you have a fantastic glow X keep up the good work.

Yar, I was at me worst!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You look awesome, babes! Enjoy whatever the fuck you want to enjoy and screw the toxic ones that make you feel bad.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I prefer the first pic.

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 20

Well, I think you are a lovely young woman. Congratulations on breaking that cycle and finding a better level of sustainable health. :)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

You look stunning now! And you're healthier and happier. Win-win!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

YOUR opinion matters, don't let anyone else choose how YOU should feel.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Just gotta say, that your 'average' person looks nothing like your second picture. Healthy is not the average anymore, and you're gorgeous.

10 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 7

Wait, first picture is 90 pounds? I'm sorry but I'd imagine 90 pounds being a lot skinnier.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 6

Muscle weighs more than fat. And different people carry weight differently.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Dear diary imgur, please feed me with some attention!

10 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 32

There's nothing wrong with sharing our experiences, this might be exactly what someone needed to see today

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

To be honest, I still prefer the first one.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

AYYY congrats on beating anorexia!! Been there. 93 lbs of misery. Then i took the bulimia triain. more misery. ED free for 2 yrs!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Congrats my fellow survivor. <3

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My gf's little sister had an eating disorder. From what she's said, it wasn't ever about her weight or image, it was all about the control

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yup. 12 year battle stayed when I was 7 or 8, it wasn't always about food. Food is just the easiest thing to control.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're doing a great job. Keep going!

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

At the risk of being creepy, #2 is breathtaking. I love it.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That last pic...you look perfect.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can't tell a difference. Sorry.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

The first picture looks better. Both pictures are of an attention whore.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

I like you.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but you look fantastic. I myself have struggled with anorexia since I was a child in gymnastic (1)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have recently started to go back into that cycle, and I am putting a stop to it. Good luck!!!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Keep fighting girly

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've struggled since I was in about 2nd grade. It's a life long battle, you've got it though. Keep fighting it. :)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Being healthy is way better. I'm sorry for whatever you went through that lead you down that dark path, but I'm proud of you for overcoming.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Looking great! Oooh, tattoo.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 6

Lucky number 7

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

looked like it from what was visible. Nice! :D

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

YOU DONT HAVE THE FACE STRUCTURE TO PULL OF SHORT HAIR, LET IT GROW LONG

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 19

Well arnt you just a little ray of sunshine!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I happen to think I looked fantastic.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 7

You do, I am rather jealous that your hair holds that colour so well.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you kindly

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know yall mean well, but everyone commenting on looks isn't really getting it.

10 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 2

Thank you!

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

NP and thank you for sharing your progress <3 I'm in recovery for bulimia at the moment.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I hope you're doing well! I've been "recovered" for almost a year and it's so worth it!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You can do it, not saying it's easy but it's worth it. <3

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

As a photographer, the "average" person is exactly who I want. Fuck society's ideal, true beauty lies in their "imperfection." Well done! :)

10 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 14

I wish my area has more like you, I got phased out by the alt girls and the skinny tall gazelle girls

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

you're either lying on your weight or you're very short

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm 5'5" and mostly muscle

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if it giggles it isnt

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Did you mean jiggle? Unflexed muscle jiggles. But I don't really care what you think since I know my health.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm a tall gazelle then...minus the skinny. Rock on girl x

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Good job OP. People always want to pretend having to gain weight is laughable, but for those that struggle, it's so difficult. +1

10 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 8

Getting yourself to see that you need to gain is the hardest part I think.

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 3

As a senior in high school, I was 5'7" and 98 lbs (as a guy too) due to appetite suppression from stimulants (adhd). I feel ya completely

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I hope you're doing better now as well

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

5 or 6 years later and 5'9" and 145lbs. Coming off stimulants made a world of a difference. The caffeine was probably the best change for ya

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The..uh...lesbian in me (woman married to a man here) is definitely more attracted to the bottom picture here. You look great. Good job.

10 years ago | Likes 209 Dislikes 13

As an actual lesbian... actually it doesn't matter that I am. The bottom picture is still more attractive. You are stunning.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

And the lesbian in me loves the frosted side! (straight male here)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'll take this as a wonderful compliment then. ;)

10 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 4

I'm not a lesbian. I just like boobs. I am a simple man.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

The lesbian in me is also attracted to the bottom picture of you (single male)

10 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 3

Just a quick question, do you know where is be able to get something similar to that corset-y looking doodad? It looks amazing - I love lace

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Minus the lesbian part, I wonder if imgur would find it creepy and pathetic if a married guy said the same thing. I'm thinking downvotes.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you're not using the lesbian in you, can I borrow her. For purposes.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah go for it she could use some attention.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In my mind I'm a girl with a straw hat and a ribbon giggling with your lesbian and enjoying a picnic in a sunny meadow.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

REALLY ? EVEN WITH THE TERRIBLE HAIR. BUT THEN AGAIN IVE SEEN LOADS OF LESBOS WITH SHORT HAIR

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 40

Her hair is cute AS FUCK so fuck off with that all caps comment nonsense.

Eek I'm sorry you got downvoted for this. He knows how I feel, and actually HE encourages me to go have fun, but it wouldn't feel ok for me.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

People aren't allowed to think others are attractive when they're married?

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

My ex thought it was ok to sleep with another woman, since I'm a man. So I "somewhat" sympathize with his point of view.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Your ex is a twat for that. I'm sorry.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looking and touching are different. Otherwise porn would be pointless for people in relationships

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Agreed, that doesn't mean someone isn't allowed doubts when you SO has physical attraction to the same sex as his/hers.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looking good. Any more pics?

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 13

Not really of me healthy, there's a few though. /a/Q4MtS

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 6

I saw those last night, very nice too. Maybe you should take new ones of healthy you.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I'm planning on it, it does help my self esteem to see myself through others eyes

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

That's great and glad it does. Hopefully, I won't miss them.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

This is beyond cringe worthy

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 6

You didn't ask her to show you her butthole. What is going on? Are you sick?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The last picture is absolutely stunning but in the first pic I never would have known you had anorexia. You look like the average teen girl.

10 years ago | Likes 908 Dislikes 36

Having overly skinny "coltish" legs can just happen for some teens due to growth spurts, but if they're like that constantly, it's bad.

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 3

And... this is the problem with today's "zomg, no fat" culture - dangerously underweight is *much worse* than overweight, and we praise it.

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 12

Can confirm that praise is feeding my anorexia in a way. Also laziness.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And dangerously overweight and dangerously overweight are both...dangerous. Thanks.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

REALLY ? EVEN WITH THE TERRIBLE HAIR

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 30

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

LIKE IM GONNA GET FLIPPED OFF BY SOMEONE THAT DOESNT KNOW THE WORD SPA

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

What on earth are you talking about? Not spa. Spaghetti. SPAGHETTI

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The diagnostic criteria for anorexia nervosa doesn't involve a specific weight for a reason. (link in reply)

10 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

But it does include being at least 80% below the normal body weight for a person of your stature. Source: Former anorexic, DSM V

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And that's what makes it scary

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Maybe that says a lot about how our teen age society thinks they should look.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Man I feel really thin now I've always been underweight and currently I'm at my highest weight ever: 95 pounds :(

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

People are different. Some struggle to put on weight. I say don't worry if you eat well and are active. :)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If your weight is healthy, don't worry about it. If your weight is unhealthy, maybe ask a doctor what you can do about it.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I was almost 20 though and still looked about 14 because of my size. Also, thank you.

10 years ago | Likes 390 Dislikes 11

i feel you i`m 24 and nobody would think i have ano but it starts in the head

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You look great. Very womanly curvy body=sexy. I was super tiny like that too weighing 105 and now I'm 135 and much healthier. Great job!

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 4

Keep working out, but get sleep and it properly. Yoir body and psych will thank you for it.

What a piece of shit douche

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 5

Everyone told me how great I looked when I was ~90lbs @ 22 but I could touch my spine from my stomach and reach into my chest cavity.

10 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 0

What the fuck

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good god. That's a horrid mental image.

10 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

I knew that pain, but being 8 and doing that creeped out so many adults.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sorry everyone. I was homeless at the time and essentially starving to death. :(

Thank you for the word "was"
