This Husky Shepherd mix turned up at our local dog shelter with no owner! He looks like he belongs on the cover of a dog romance novel!

Which shelter I'm on my way

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Prolly a husky rottie mix, not shepherd

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Possible, but tons of shepherd mixes have that coloring. (Our husky/shepherd/shar pei for proof: )

I'll take two of them, thanks

Sure that's not a rottie mix?

The Kibble must flow.

you didn't rescue the dog, it wasn't about to jump off a building or something

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can I have him?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why the hell does everyone call every mutt a sheperd husky mix. This dog looks more like a doberman than either of those.

Know a lot about dog romance novels then, eh, OP?

Title: From the Doghouse to the Penthouse

He's a billionaire bad boy vampire lost son of a Duke who never knew love until he met the right bitch.

This is what I come here for. These type of comments are gold

The floppy ears and coat color+pattern makes me think rottweiler/husky mix.

Is that the dog from the omen

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He looks like he can shoot laserbeams from them.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I want it!!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You say shepherd but that coloring screams rottweiler. Either way it's a pretty dog.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a generic dog coloration. Lots of different shepherds have a brown and black mix. They usually have some white in there

Looks more like a Shepher Dobie cross

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@op is dog adopted?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks more like husky dobie mix.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll take him!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where is this shelter located

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You should probably mention what shelter it is, if it's not adopted yet. Would probably not take long to find somebody for him

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's in western Kentucky

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But his eyes....I think you have a terminator dog. Just saying, I think he is back to eliminate a puppy somewhere.

Looks like my mixed pup with the reverse coloring

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ARE YOU SARAH PUPPER? Also, bark.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Or there's a second, more advanced terminator dog out and about, and this one is supposed to protect a puppy somewhere.

Damn, what a super cool beauty!! Need this doggo!!But never ever shepherd mix. Looks more like a Rottweiler was involved.

We have a shepherd/husky/shar pei (per a DNA test) that has the exact same coloring:

Rottweiler or doberman and maybe australian shepherd

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Could have been Beauceron (French shepard) mix.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are lots of dogs with this color pattern, way more than rotts and dobies

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Examples?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lots of shepherds. Some German shepherds, some English shepherds, Belgian shepherds, Beaucerons, others that I can't remember.

Daschsunds

Yep. The pointed color pattern is not limited to rotts and dobies.
